Excellent all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant! The food was fresh and delicious, with a huge variety of sushi, sashimi, appetizers, and hibachi options. Compared to many other AYCE restaurants, the menu has far more choices.
The service was friendly, attentive, and fast, making the whole dining experience even better.
We’ll definitely come back the next time we’re on Long Island. Highly recommend this place! 🍣🔥

We recently visited this restaurant with our 2-year-old son. Before being seated, I explained that my son had already eaten and would not be eating a meal. We were told that if they saw him eating anything, we would be charged.
Throughout the meal, it felt like the waitress was constantly watching our table to see if my son would eat a fry or anything off our plates. It made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Eventually, I called the waitress over and asked her to simply add my son to the bill because I didn’t want to feel like we were being monitored all night.
To make matters worse, when the bill arrived, we were charged $20.99 for a child when the menu clearly stated $8.99. They also wanted my son to come to the front so they could measure his height to determine the price.
I understand restaurants have policies, but this felt excessive and very much like nickel-and-diming over a toddler who only had a few fries. The entire situation created an unpleasant dining experience.
To top it off, the bathrooms were filthy and clearly not being maintained properly, which was very disappointing.
Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

We have been here for 4 times,The food is average but it is reasonably inexpensive. My experience is we have make a reservation at 7pm and we have to wait for another 30 mins even though we were there since 6:40pm. We have a table of 9 and they are not ready for us at 7pm. The wrost part is when we told them we are here early, they said it is not 7pm yet. The reservation is very useless since they dont honor reservation. The front deck attitude is not friendly too, it is probably some family own business. I suggest do not come during weekend.
Honami Sushi Hibachi & Lounge is a very good place for sushi and sashimi, it’s very fresh, most of the staff are not friendly (they need to find someone better with a friendly and accommodating staff). Their manager/boss is surprisingly nice. I’ve been coming here for a while now and I recommend it

The place is very nice and the prices are on the cheaper end but the food itself was not good at all. The fish tasted very metallic and had a weird texture. The bathroom was DISGUSTING and looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. The iPads they use for ordering are fun but kind of gimmicky and sometimes they didn’t even send my order to the kitchen. I usually don’t leave reviews but my experience today was quite bad so it felt necessary.

I drove over 30 min to try this place. I got here at 9:45 and they told me that they stop the buffet service at 9:40 and that I could only order from the regular menu. I don’t ever leave reviews but I felt complied to warn others about my experience. The staff were ignoring my party as well. I spoke to Ivy who told me she was the manager.
Seafood is so fresh and the service is wonderful!

Very bad experience, the food is not that fresh, not that much choices, long waiting for the food, no body refill the drinks for you, no changing the plates, they just talk to each other, the food what we ordered even didn’t show up

Best all you can eat japanese place I've been to in a while. Food was super fresh. Everything came out quick!
Such a delicious spot! The staff and atmosphere is fun. You have a choice to eat with or without the show. The food was so good and they were accommodating with my peanut and sesame allergy. I will be coming back!

Walked in very excited to try this place. My wife and I are sushi lovers and have heard great things. Unfortunately from the moment we walked in the service was uncomfortable and cold. When we were seated they informed us my 2 year old would be $22 because he’s tall. When I quested why he wasn’t under the kids pricing ($8.99) they made me bring him to the wall to be measured like he was livestock. We both decided that experience, and the empty tables on a Friday, were enough reason not to stay.

Some sashimi pieces aren’t very fresh and are often mushy/spongy. Service is extremely slow. It took us 30 minutes to get our first sashimi platter. Hot food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Staff was hit or miss. When we expressed our frustration over the wait time, the server was quite defensive and unwilling to hear us out. I don’t think it’s right to enforce your order time limit if you deliver sashimi/sushi orders every 30-45 minutes. I hope this place gets better over time and this is just growing pains, because this was quite a disappointing experience.

The service was great here, and so was the food. We came here for the AYCE sushi meals, and it did not fail to serve! Not only was the food great, but the technology of iPads to order at our table defiantly improved our experience as it allowed us to order more and easier. Moreover the staff was very friendly and helpful, when one person ordered a lot of large rolls, she came over and reconfirmed and informed her that the rolls were very large. The customer service was very on top of things and overall the atmosphere was well and comfortably lit and spacious.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Me, my husband and my 5 month old baby went to this place last night for Mother's Day dinner. Food was okay but I was very disappointed with the service. Restaurant closes at 10pm and we got there at 8:45pm for Hibachi. The cook was good, He did his hibachi show everything was going good, we started eating our food. 9:15pm our waitress started rushing us. She brought us our check when we just started eating our food, which we did not think much of at first. We paid promptly and even left a good tip, yet after that we felt extremely rushed to leave while we were still trying to finish our meal peacefully. The waitress kept walking back and forth in front of our table, clearly making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. She looked really upset that we were still sitting there trying to eat our food we paid for already. What really crossed the line was when she began turning off the lights around us, including the light directly above our table, while we were still dining. It felt incredibly rude and disrespectful. We were already trying to finish our meal quickly because our baby was starting to get fussy, so we were doing our best not to stay long, but the waitress didn't care and wanted us to leave immediately. The attitude and lack of professionalism really ruined the atmosphere for us. I hope management addresses this because customer should never be made to feel pushed out in the middle of their meal, especially after being respectful and tipping well.
