My wife and I tried this place after I saw an Instagram on it a few months ago. That trip I tried the hot buttery lobster roll and my wife enjoyed her fried clams. We wondered why this place wasn't more popular We tried DJ's again today, again the place was empty but we knew that we were going to enjoy the food. I had the Lobster Roll with a side of sweet potato fries, we shared the baked clams and my wife loved her shrimp tacos. We travel for great food and we live at least 20 miles from a DJ's but well worth the trip, as we were leaving we asked the girls working, why this place was empty ( except for another couple) who joined our conversation about the quality of food here. I hope you decide to visit this delicious restaurant when choosing your next meal.

Got the soup and sandwich and it was wo delicious. Shrimp was sweet and the bread was buttery just the perfect combination. Had I known I would have skipped the soup. Sat outside on a lovely fall day. Kid didn't bring utensils or napkins but was a great meal.

Stopped in for my first time at this location for lunch. I’ve been to some of the other locations and they are significantly smaller. This location had ample parking and tables in side and outside which is a bonus being right across from the harbor. My wife and I split an order of the clams with jalapeños which came in a delicious spicy broth and an order of Thai calamari. One of my favorite non traditional calamari and this was one of the best versions I’ve had. Perfect crispy but still tender. We also order some coconut shrimp that came with an order of fries and a shrimp scampi roll. I know they are famous for their lobster rolls, but do not sleep on the shrimp scampi roll. Delicious!!!!And great news They also mentioned that this year they would be staying open on the weekends during the winter where they have closed in years past.

The lobster roll was great- buttery roll, fresh lobster. The kungpow calamari was good- it's not really kungpow in the traditional sense, just sweet chili sauce over fried calamari. We sat outside and wiped the table ourselves because it was dirty, the inside was really nice though!

Fish and chips were the best I have had in a very long time. The fried pickles were full size. Very nice surprise! The coconut shrimp was also very good.

House salad with buttered lobster meat was good . The soup and sandwich was nothing special with only a mere 3 shrimp on the por boy sandwich. Ate outside on a nice day, so atmosphere was nice. Don't think I'd hurry back as the neighborhood is packed with other restaurants.

Love this location (besides the original Key West one). This is our go to spot for hot lobster rolls. The fried fish tacos are also out of this world! Overall, the food is a bit on the pricey side but the portions are great and well worth it.The indoor dining is also charming. Great parking at the rear. The outdoor dining is next to the bay but unfortunately a tad bit on the smaller side and could be expanded.

Food is well below average for the price. Lobster rolls had cartilage and shell mixed in and for the price we paid it needed to be perfect. The staff is clearly not paid enough because they don’t seem to care about anything nor listen to what you are actually ordering. We were charged 83 dollars for two lobster rolls, two beers, and fried pickles. Inflation is one thing, pure greed is another. This place has clearly gone down hill since it was on TV because it wouldn’t have made the cut.Don’t go here.

Overall did not have a good experience here at all. The place is very cute and I liked the indoor/ outdoor area. Menu had a lot on it and you definitely have your options. Staff was friendly but that soon ended when we placed our order. We ordered the clam chowder, I ordered the Ipswich clams and my mom wanted the lobster empanada. Mine came with fries and cole slaw and the menu specifically says that the lobster empanada comes with fries or coleslaw. The girls behind the counter insisted it didn’t! It blatantly said it right on the menu so how can you deny it? If that’s the case then take it off the menu! Now having spent a nice weekend in Boston/ cape cod/ Connecticut last weekend, I had high expectations for the food. The clam chowder was just okay. Lobster empanada barely had any lobster in it. Fries were good and coleslaw was good but the clams…… not good. They were bitter, sandy and really gross compared to the ones I’ve had in New England. I wouldn’t go back unfortunately.

We got here pretty early. So there wasn't a big crowd which was great. The service was wonderful and the food was everything i hoped it would be. You won't regret getting their infamous over stuffed lobster roll! Cooked to perfection, mouth watering and so flavorful. I highly recommend!

East Northport & Huntington have DJ's Clam Shack the food is the same consistently fresh and good, as well as the service. The difference between the two is the outside. Better view in Huntington. So check my earlier post, Ciao for Now

Overall I thought DJs was just ok. Not sure if I would go back, especially for what everything cost.Vibe: The vibe is casual, and almost a bit cold. We sat outside, which was nice, but it is on a busy road. Free parking in the back is a plus.Service: This was the highlight. The staff was super friendly and helpful.Food: The food in my opinion was hit and miss. I didn't think there was anything so fabulous that I had to go back and have. The onion rings were the best part and I'd give them a solid 4. ($6.00) The chipotle sauce was a nice compliment to the rings.I'd give the Ipswich Clams basket a 3. ($29.00) The breading on the clams was nice and light, but we had several clams with sand grit. The french fries were ok, a bit cold, bland and not crispy. The coleslaw was the best part of the basket. And finally I'd give the Cold Lobster Roll a 3 as well.($24.00) It was a bit heavy on the mayonnaise and I felt was loaded with the rubbery lobster claw tips. Was it horrible, no. Expensive, yes. Would I go back, probably not.
