Unfortunately, this business has been closed since October and I just remembered it, so time for a late review!. I remember this being among my go-to takeout spots when I would visit my boyfriend in Huntington. It was a small place but was also huge on quality and I knew I would never be disappointed by their service or food. Major respect for this place and hope the business owners have a good future ahead of them.

I have to say.....there's only one place I would go to for sushi and that was in San Diego but after eating in here this is my fav restaurant for sushi and dumplings. There's alot of love in the food and it shows. The staff is wonderful. Highly recommend it!

Excellent food, good menu choices (I love that they have a veggie miso soup ("winter miso), and caring service. Cozy family vibe. I used to go to Japanese restaurants when I lived in San Francisco. On Long Island I find that KuraBarn is one of the few that offers more authentically Japanese dishes and condiments and little touches. Nice atmosphere in an old house close to the center of Huntington Village. During the pandemic, they have been AWESOME about keeping customers safe, doing curbside/parking lot pickup. One of the waitresses even gave me a K95 mask when I asked where she got hers (Kurabarn supplied them to workers). They're still not doing indoor dining, which I think is wise. Everything about KuraBarn is excellent. I often go solo but have brought family and friends there, too. Quite reasonably priced.

At the moment you arrive in this restaurant the stuff gives you a comfortable feeling. Very courteous stuff, it is a happy restaurant to pass time with your friends or with your date. very good cooking, creative chief cook and stuff, modest price and generous service. Warmly recommended.
We’ve been going to Kura Barn for twenty five delicious years. Makoto and the crew are delightful. Kura Barn is our favorite place for Sushi and other Japanese inspired dishes. Easily the best on LI.
