Just got denied because the bouncer believed my real New York id was fake

Me and my friends used to frequent this bar often, but the staff is incapable of noticing the difference between a real ID and a fake ID. My 23 year old friend who was sober and our designated driver was kicked out because a poorly trained bartender did not believe he was of age even after being shown a valid drivers license while he was standing with me at the bar. It's unfortunate because the beer selection and outside area in the back are actually good, but the staff needs more training as this seems to be a frequent issue based on the other reviews.

Like a lot of reviews have mentioned, the bouncer and bartending staff seem to all share a single collective brain cell. I have never had a problem with my ID anywhere other than this establishment, but time and time again they give me grief for it. It's a shame because the bar is actually quite good, but the staff is absolutely horrible. Me and my friends have been regulars here for a few months now, coming in both when it's busy and less crowded, but we will no longer be supporting this business. If the managers wanted to improve the bar, I would totally overhaul the staff. Also someone tried to sell me drugs there last night, which made me extremely uncomfortable. They should be looking out for those types rather than people who are just trying to have a good time and be DD.

Considering this bar lets in 14 year olds, I find it ridiculous that the bouncer looked at my real id as a 22 year old and goes nah not tonight then asked me for a second form which luckily I brought my credit card cause I usually just carry cash, train your workers better or consider hiring polite people

The bouncers and bartenders allowed their barbacks to call my friends and i faggots outside the bar. As my friends and i sat in tears, they told US to leave and go home after their barback called us faggots unprovoked as we walked down the street. I'm literally in tears. How dare they allow this?

This is a mediocre bar. Just a stop in the night; nothing crazy to tell about it either way. But oh my goodness. This gets 1 star because the bouncer (I'm not sure how many there are) but the one there last night is TERRIBLE. What an absolute a** hat. The way he treats people, and in particular WOMEN, wow. Not worth spending a dime here with people like that. Some things he said to us: "Can you just shut the fxxk up and show me your ID." And when I questioned him on why he's so damn rude he said "Get the fxxk out of my face already." Disgusting behavior from a grown man.

Who doesn't love this spot? If you have been in Huntington for longer than 5 minutes, you know this place. This is the spot to be in the weekend or for even weeknights. Great back area to switch up the vibe also, and never closes like Christophers does which is awesome. Never change Nags head! You're what makes this town great! Thanks for all the good times! #letsgo
