Portion sizes are a little smaller than what I'm used to, and the prices are a little high, but it's expected in the area. Overall, the food was delicious and I'd definitely go back if I was in the area again.

The best cheese steak I've had in New York. Fresh bread, quality Ribeye ! The way it's meant to be done. They give you a good portion of steak, not like the others.

This place was amazing! My boyfriend, best friend, brother and I came here after the St Patrick's Day parade and the food was AMAZING! Service was quick, food was hot and so flavorful. I got the fully loaded tots and the bacon wrapped hot dog. I really love how they have set service condiments at tables instead of packets.Tables were clean and the environment was so lively! They also have a WIDE variety of drinks. We are so excited to come back!

Everything was really excellent. The cheesesteak was tasty, and very in point. Service was great. Place was clean. Definitely glad this place is in town. I’ll be there often.

This place was amazing !!! Not just cheesesteaks. But since we're on the topic. The sub is 9inch's long STUFFED with thin sliced steak. Cheese was perfect, bread was fresh and soft. The owner had a bunch of different types of peppers that were homemade. I also tried the garlic tots which were delicious. The owner was super friendly and gave my daughter some cookies on the house which was really nice. I will definitely be returning to try out the different stuff on the menu.

This place is off the charts! I'm not much of a cheesesteak guy but I think I just never had a great cheesesteak. The portions are pre pandemic. Give it a shot, you will not be disappointed

I sent my wife in today for my first Order of Pete's Famous Cheesesteak. I got home and my sandwich was fantastic!! So much meat it was overstuffed!! My only comment was the bread was too fresh as it didn't hold in its filling which was amazing. So much cheese and steak I felt a hard roll would have held ingredients better, a personal comment not a negative at all. I'll be a hard core user if I can get parking near by. I'm amazed it taster so good!!! Five stars Amazing!

Took my son to try this place after reading some positive reviews and having been to Philly so we know what to expect. The food did no disappoint. The closet I found to authentic Cheesesteaks! What makes it even better is the charm and service. Nicest people. Pete is the man!

My apologies to Grandpa Pete but last weekend my girlfriend and I went to the location on NY Ave and although all of the lights were on (12:30 afternoon) the door was locked. We tried calling several times but no answer. And then last night I tried again and they UNfortunately were there. Nevermind the antics going on with the workers...my food came up and the cashier just kept taking orders while my food cooled and lost any sense of crispiness...the Tots were soggy and flavorless...ate 2 tossed the rest. Sandwich was edible but not worth the $$. I will go to Gold Coast Deli for my cheese steaks in the future...THEY never let me down!

Have seen this place and wanted to check it out. Originally we were going to Little Vincent's, but decided to check this place out. Steak and cheese definitely the spot. My son had a classic steak with cheese whizz. I had a loaded with American cheeses, grilled onions, mushrooms, hot peppers, pickles, and tomatoes. Portion is very generous. You may want to share a sandwich and have side of tots. We also shared an order of tater tots. Cooked perfectly except a little to salty. Staff was very friendly, especially the hostess Megan. She greeted us with a nice smile. Cooks were also attentive to details. I noticed they have a big take-out business. I would recommend.

Very large and tasty cheese steak. One of the best you'll have on Long Island, will not disappoint.

Is the food tasty? Yes. Is it worth the wait tasty? Not really. We went in (family of five) starving, put in our order, and sat to wait. The place looks like a fast food joint so we were pretty excited about the fast food service. Boy were we wrong. It seems the only people that get faster service are the to-go orders, even if they came in after us. Don't get me wrong, the staff was super nice and kept apologizing for the wait, but they just couldn't get it together. The poor cashier had to keep going back to the kitchen telling the cooks how to make the food. When we finally got our meal the kids seemed to enjoy it. I had a Philly cheesesteak with the works. The sandwich was pretty tasty. A lot of flavor and even a little bit of heat. The loaded tots were great as well. I did think it had a bit of too much salt, but I guess that's a matter of preference. It's not that wouldn't eat here again, it's just that I wouldn't want to wait again. However, if you have time on your hands and you want a tasty cheesesteak, then give it a try.

Finally got the chance to stop in after a long wait. Wasn't sure if they were going to open at all, but boy am I glad they did. It's kinda hard to screw up a cheese steak, but some local places manage to do just that. As someone who frequents Philadelphia and knows what to expect, I was absolutely overjoyed to see that they had whiz on the menu. The sandwich was perfect. Soft hoagie roll, perfectly cooked veggies and steak. I recommend stopping in here IMMEDIATELY, you'll get a real idea of what an authentic Philly cheese steak should taste like.
