Excellent ox tail. Curry goat is good too. No roti bread though.
Exceptional spot to buy some food when in a hurry. Their service is fast, prices are convenient, excellent ambience. Keep up the good work
We got takeout dinner from them and it was delicious! Flavorful, but not too spicy. The j*** sauce is amazing!
I constantly come purchasing some food in this place. I liked the rapid service and well prepared food. Kudos.
Ordered from Uber Eats and it totally hit the spot!Great to have a tasty Jamaican place nearby! Thanks for the great food :D
Move to Huntington a month ago.Food was excellent, reasonable prices... lot of positive energy.Brings that positive Caribbean feeling of Jamaica to the island Man.
Very good quality food clean place to eat. One of the top chef in Long Island cooking the good #Chica
Food definitely good Quality for your money definitely coming back
The food was great and the Service was perfect. I had the oxtail and it was fall of the bone
Where to begin. Upon first walking in, all the staff were sitting at the tables and booths, with no one behind the counter. A young man slowly, and pretty anoyed, got up from the booth and casually asked "what do you want". Mind you this was 6pm on a Friday evening. Should have been busy, but I assumed COVID was the reason. As I walked in I couldn't find a menu to read from. There was a TV above the counter (which I assume used to be the menu), but it was off. I asked what do you have, and the man replied sarcastically, "Jamaicn food." It's important to note that the setup of this place is what I call "cafeteria style." Food is served buffet style from metal trays above the hot water warmers like you used to see in high school. Everything was covered with the lids on, so I had no way of knowing what to even order. I had to explicitly ask him for a menu, of which he pulled out a beaten cardboard menu and handed it to me. My experience was already poor before I even ordered any food. I ordered the J*** Chicken and the women in the back proceeded to chop up some chicken before dressing it in the marinaide. The same young man who took my order filled my bowl with the rice, filling it almost 80%. For $14, I expected more than just two chicken wings, a couple plantain chips, and majority rice. Definitely not worth the money. As for the taste, the rice was dry, obviously from the previous day and just thawed/reheated on the warming trays. The chicken was dry as could be and thank's to the women's hacking fo the chicken, there were many many small bone peices I had to pick out and accidentally bite. Needless to say I didn't finish any part of my meal. Finally, now that I'm done talking about the bad food, terrible service, and terrible value, I wasn't expecting any more bad things to come from this place, but I was wrong. Because all the seating indoors was taken by the staff, I decided try the outdoor seating, which was a couple tables and chairs on the sidewalk next to the parking lot. In the middle of my meal, a lady who appeared to be the owner comes walking out of the place waving her hand in the air while yelling at someone inside - right in front of me as if I didn't excist or wasn't her customer eating at her restaurant (I wouldn't call this place a restaurant, but you understand my point). Continuing to yell, she gets into the very nice Massarati parked right in front of where I was sitting and roars and revs the engine while still in park. As she backs out, she almost hits a red BMW parked nearby, which I later learn belongs to the young man who took my order. She then yells something out her window and drives away. 20 secons later, the young man comes out, gets in his car, takes the woman's parking spot, and proceeds to play loud music in his car for about 5 minutes, not caring to go back inside to work. By this point, the food wasn't worth eating anymore for me, so I got up and left. Overall: this place is a shaudy attempt at some wealthy business people at pedaling Jamaican food to a community which arguable doesn't have that many Jamaican options. I agree that Huntington could benefit from having more diverse food options, but Rasta Shack is not the place to go. The staff don't care about quality serivce (or any service for that matter). The food is questionable in both taste and freashness, the preparation is unskilled, the price is very out of wack for the amount of meat:chicken ratio they give you. I would not recommend this place to anyone, nor will I be back. Feel free to park your money and patron one of the many other great restaurants Huntington Village is known for. I for one went and got a slice of pizza after throwing away my meal here.

I went close to closing time and the staff was extremely welcoming! I purchased the J*** Chicken meal and it was phenomenal; it was definitely better than I had anticipated. I’m also grateful that the village has more of a variety of food options now! The restaurant is the perfect fit. I will be returning soon!
I went to Rasta Shack to have favorite Curry Chicken and white rise. The curry sauce was green and rich with a hint of spice with nice pieces of chicken. The head chef takes pride in presenting the meal well and gave excellent service.
This place is AMAZING...as a Jamaican myself I enjoyed the food immensely. I loved the atmosphere and the music and the wait staff and owner were amazing. Would definitely recommend
Incredible place! The j*** chicken was the best and the beef patty hit the spot.
DISAPPOINTED. If I wasnt press fir time. I would've returned the food.We ordered:1 Lg Oxtail/cabbage:$15. The oxtails were the size of silver dollars-fatty, I couldnt taste any meat. If there was, I couldnt tell.1 lg J*** Chicken:$12. There was so much rice and peas. The chicken was cut up and splintered. The expected flavor was not there.1 Lg Curry Goat $14. Boney. Meat morsels.Again, so much rice. Mac and cheese dry.
