Gyros (pronounced yee-rohs) should not have ANY lettuce on them, just added sliced tomato and sliced white sweet onion period. Skorpio's ruined their gyros. Must be a new owner than the early 1990's had. Also the tzatziki (yogurt) sauce no longer tastes good. The garlic flavor is gone. Not sure if they use the best gyro kone meat of the beef & lamb called Hellene made by KRONOS in Chicago. I doubt it since it looks different. I do know their gyros lost that exquisite taste. I make them myself at home now using Kronos sliced meat with homemade yogurt sauce from a recipe given to me that is spectacular and just like Skorpio's from the 1990's. Skorpio's used to be second place to MISS DONUT on New York Ave. in Huntington who also made gyro's from Kronos supplies. They were the BEST gyro I ever had in my life. Miss Donut is long gone. I only eat Kronos meats. Gyro Central meat is mediocre.

Occupying the old Skorpios space on New York Ave, this small diner has a giant menu featuring the expected lunch and dinner specialties.
Servings are generous and the food is tasty. Having just opened, the crowds haven't arrived yet so it's a good time to try this cute place.
Menu has a cash and credit price which i find annoying

Had the cheese quesadilla. It may have been the worst, actually no, it was then worst cheese quesadilla I’ve ever had.

My aunt and I were excited to see this place open . I think huntington Village needed a true diner experience. Food was great, everything was very fresh ‘ I’ll be back
It seems like half of these reviews are for Sunnyside diner, and half are for Skorpio’s Greek. So I want to be clear that I’m reviewing the diner. Very nice little spot. Good food, generous portions, friendly staff. And surprisingly dead on a weekend morning, so you won’t wait for a table
Very good lamb gyro

Very friendly staff. I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. The food was great and prices are reasonable. 100% would go back.
Went for lunch this past weekend. Food was very good….not too salty like many other restaurants do, which tells us that Sunnyside’s food is fresh. Service was Great! Very friendly. Very comfortable. Portions are generous. Cute place. We will definitely return.
Sadly I think this place closed about 3 months ago suddenly. Shame too since it really did have the best Greek food in the area. RIP, will be missed ✌️
The chicken doner platter is favorite. They use dark meat chicken that’s flavored so well. This is one of my favorites places to eat!!! I have been calling them recently and no one is answering, did they close? I am to heartbroken to do a drive by to check.
They are wonderful! Delicious food!
