Best coffee/coffee shop on LI by a long shot. There's not a single shop that comes even close. In fact, it's one of less than a handful of coffee shops/cafes on LI that even CARE about serving coffee. The coffee is expertly roasted(not a single bean over medium to be found, which is how its supposed to be) and the drinks are expertly crafted. One of the best lattes I've ever had. They constantly get new coffees in stock and get back favorites all the time. My wife and I get coffee delivered to our house upstate every couple of weeks. The food is great as well; the breakfast tacos and everything biscuit are awesome. You legitimately cannot find a better coffee shop on LI and will even have a hard time finding one this good in the city.
Was not happy with the fact they only offered one roast of coffee and it was extremely dark - like bottom of the pot dark . Most specialty coffee shops offer a variety of roasts- . I prefer a medium or mild roast and this was definitely not for me. Go for it if you like a deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep daaaaaaaaaark roast !

Truly the best coffee on Long Island - I’ve tried many other coffee shops and nothing compares to Southdown. They are always consistent and the coffee is high quality. They also have a great selection of food - the breakfast sandwiches are always fresh and delicious!

Nice gem in a plaza in Huntington. Plenty of parking in the plaza. I enjoyed walking in to this chic, quaint coffee shop. The cold brew coffee was excellent and they have a variety of breakfast pastries and entrees. The yogurt parfait was made with fresh blueberries, drizzled honey, and granola. Good service and just a gem of a place. Ideal for doing remote work or hanging out with some friends.

Our cycling group makes a regular stop here to refuel. I usually get a black coffee but everyone else goes for a cappuccino. The service is quick and efficient. Staff are friendly & helpful. They even help us refill our water bottles at no charge. ??It’s a nice spot to sit down for 10 minutes and get away from the cold. It’s generally quite busy here on the weekends.

Relaxed cafe. Friendly staff. From what I saw today; they cleaned as they go. The sugar, milk, cup cover stations were clean. I ordered a ginger turmeric latte and an avocado toast. I added hot sauce because everything tastes better with spice. I would totally go again.

Long line but worth the wait. I got the maple Spiced latte and my boyfriend got the chai latte and both were superb. We both got the famous egg sandwich and that was delicious as well. The pickled onions added a whole different level of flavor as well as the tomato jam sauce on the sandwich. Gave it a unique touch. Not a huge fan of arugula but I didn't mind it too much. I saw they had jalapeño cheddar biscuits as well which looked amazing and I plan to try next time. I didn't ask if it was possible but if it's not already an option, having the option to have the biscuit for the famous egg sandwich would be great.
This is the exact type of coffee spot I love. We ordered a drip coffee which was delicious and on point - fresh, bright, succulent yes please!! I also ordered a cortado which was yummy smooth and balanced. Upon noting this was top 20 roasters/ coffee shop in the country? I had to grab a bag to go - yes it had the roast date 5 days off roast. Grabbed a Colombian (not my wife this time) a well descriptive bag which even included several recipes on the side. Brought it home and it was outstanding light roast, beautifuly devoloped I felt as I was right back on LI. The service was also good - down to earth peeps that knew how to smile even with a line nearly out the door. Also loved seeing the espresso machine pulling beautiful shots in the background. Thx I'll be back!! Or .. or.. will have my fam-bam bring a bag-ah-two upstate next time!

The coffee is great, food good but you need a bigger place. I can't tell you how many times I've walked in and left. The tables are always full and one time they told me that I could take it to go. Uh thanks. That's not what I'm looking for.
