So i normally dont rant buuuut here we goooooo..... It's not not even a pool hall anymore it's basically a nightclub now unfortunately and the drinks are waaaaaay over priced im talking midtown Manhattan prices. New owners definitely need to remove the sign that's pool hall and take the website down that also says pool hall.

Such a disappointment. We were excited to go to this pool hall, we get there and you can hear club type music coming from inside. We go in and we're told they don't open until 9 and to come back in 15 minutes... figured they were just blasting music since they were closed. we went back to the car and started watching the workers set up what looked like valet parking. Seemed odd for a pool hall but ‍who knows. We go back in 15 minutes later and asked for a pool table. They give us 1 and we notice there are only 2 tables and sectioned off couches for a weird makeshift "vip" areas. Come to find out the pool hall has turned into a CLUB!!! And we ended up going on what seemed like "Latin Night"! We played a few rounds and left before it got crowded. I'm well past my clubbing days.

This bar is great on a Friday or Saturday.. the music is always good and the security is mad cool. Not your average - trying to intimidate type .. the young girl is fire. She stay at the door but she comes inside and speaks with everyone, daps everyone up, and has a good time and just moves the room.. aside from the basics; the food is good, the owners are cool as hell … def try it - you won’t be disappointed. Especially if you into that spanishhhhhhhh vibe

Horrible place and is not safe. Many security guys and don’t know how to properly do their job. Don’t go to this place. Food was not good either, please avoid this place. Is not worth it. Also is not clean. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Have not been here in a few years. Got in an early pool game on a Friday night. Courteous staff and no issues with service. We only had a few drinks while we played.

Great upgrade with the change of bartenders. Was there last year where I felt unwelcome. But 2 weeks ago seeing a new young bartender making me feel at home was amazing. Also was happy with the fact that the kitchen is now open cause now I can dine play and drink all night long. New ownership as well. Happy with the new change of The Big Kahuna cause this place has potential but really didn't have the proper management/ownership to do so. Hopefully I will see the new upgrade in here cause this is my new spot. Love the big kahuna burger and the tostones. Also tried the green tea shot and absolutely loved it. My wife loves the attention the bartender gave her as she was beyond excited to return. In other words disregard any old reviews.

The staff was friendly but I give this place two stars because they are extremely overpriced. The bill came out to $185 for 3 beers, 3 mixed drinks, a couple shots, 2 appetizers and a hour and a half of pool... This is a pool hall, not Prime, Insignia, Rare 360, Bill should have been $100 MAX with tip. $11 for a shot of whisky? I didn’t walk into a pool hall expecting to drop $200..

Took my wife and two kids on a Saturday evening. Had dinner and shot some pool. Nice chill night. New ownership in the last 3 months. Disregard any old negative reviews. Super nice people tending to all your needs

When you come "home" with a new set of eyes, aka my Ohio born and bred hubby, you get the opportunity to check out some places you never would consider going on your own, including this "hidden in plain sight" gem just a couple of miles from where I grew up. We arrived just as they were opening at around 5pm (we're working on that "old fart/early bird" vibe!!) and we had the place to ourselves for a while. Beautiful, HUGE interior, with a dozen or more tables, a big bar, plus plenty of space to lounge, dine, and even a small dance floor. We played a couple of games (they charge by the hour, rather than per game) and had dinner. Some standard bar food, but both of us ordered from the "international" section of the menu, and got some surprisingly good tacos and AWESOME pupusas!! Turns out the (new) owners are from El Salvador, and those pupusas (I ordered cheese, I think chicken and pork are also available) were some of the BEST I've had north of the Rio Grande!! The Mr. enjoyed his tacos as well... Plenty of good, local choices at the bar, along with all the standards. We finished dinner, played a few more games, and were happy to see that more people were gradually showing up. It was "Latin Night" the Friday we were there, but I guess that hadn't started yet, as the music and the vibe were both still pretty "gringo" early in the evening, but that was fine too. Apparently there are special events here pretty frequently. We're LOUSY pool players, but had a nice night, and enjoyed the change of pace from our usual venues. If we lived in the area, we'd be back often. Definitely worth a visit, for both pool sharks and "guppies" like us!! Enjoy!!!
