Been here several times. Food is good. Ordered the chicken about a month ago and it was very dry however they seem to have addressed that issue from another online comment. Ordered the fired chicken with baked beans and creamed spinach today for takeout. When I got gone I noticed that the baked beans spilled all over into the chicken and creamed spinach due to poor preparation and packing. Hopefully this will not happen again.

Very good fare with some fine side dishes and out if the ordinary accompaniments. Upon cursory inspection, nothing there comes pre-prepared out of the freezer and into the microwave. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Worth many visits.

This place by far is the best spot i have been for lunch in a long while..., i must tell you that i felt at home, like at my mother's kitchen. There are a lot of great home made delicious choices, i had the " chicken noodle soup" (not the average water & noodles from a lot other places)and "the Beehive sandwich" a master piece of chicken salad on a croissant and a side of kettle chips!! A master piece of a sandwich that only Mike& his wife that care about what they feed the public can create at their kitchen of The Chicken Coop. I will definitely stop by again n again!!

This place is special. Everything is on a very different level than what you get used to. From the incredible sauces, thoroughly seasoned chicken to the local sodas and compostable cutlery. This is what we need here on long island. Legitimate delicious and conscious food at a reasonable price.P.s. I got a cookie (or two) and it was AMAZING.

Please give this place a try.We got the kids Pancake Batter Fried Tenders. Its something like a funnel cake chicken, so delicious. We also got the half chicken combo. It is cooked to perfection. Looking forward to coming back for buttermilk fried chicken.

Great food, but several times my order was not complete. It seems as though their corn bread is actually gold bread. You never get it. It happened to me more than enough times. My kids love the bread and that's why I spend good money in that store but for GOD sake give me my bread!!!!!!!!!!!!charge me for it but just give it to me. And never get food after 6 pm .. all leftover .. Genna . I invite you to call me to explain this situation.

Very friendly people in here. Food is * ℃Ø * i ordered the half chicken and the seasonings we're great. My husband ordered the meatloaf and that was even better. The spices were on point. We even got a who chicken to go for lunch tomorrow. Zucchini side was good. I forgot the other side I got, it looks like mashed potatoes but wasn't. It was Too sweet for me.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but take a chance. Cause the food is excellent. I had the fried flounder with cole slaw, my nephew had the chicken with sides. And, for dessert cookies. It is a small place, with seating in the back yard. The menu is limited, but the food is amazing. Reasonably priced and friendly workers. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for something different to eat.
Excellent experience -- good food, broad range of menu choices, quaint outdoor seating. We ate here on a Sunday afternoon after going to Sunken Meadow State Park. The Coop was doing a brisk takeout business. The worker was polite and helpful. Contrary to several other reviews I've read, our chicken was juicy and not tough or chewy. We will definitely come here again to eat after going to the beach or the Vanderbilt Museum.

I was disappointed. I simply didn't gag over the food. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how the rating is so high. The chicken didn't taste good, nor was the coating good. The sweet potato was too sweet and slimy. The corn bread missed the mark. The rice was delicious though. I won't be returning. If I did, it would be for the chicken pottery. They were cute.

Cute little place in Huntington. My wife and I drove by and had a craving for chicken. She ordered fried chicken with mashed potato's , and rice with onions. I had ribs with jalapeño Mac and cheese and cole slaw. The chicken and ribs were extremely dry and very chewy! We were extremely disappointed on the proteins but the sides were amazing!! The potatoes had amazing flavor and were creamy. The rice also had amazing flavor and the onions made it pop. The Mac and cheese are just the right amount of cheesy and the jalapeño not over barring. Coleslaw could be creamer but they have a great taste from the vinegar. You definitely get a lot of food for the price. Wish this place would work on having their proteins more tender and fresh, the ribs I don't want to chew for minutes I want them to fall off the bone and melt in my mouth.
