El Rey Mexican Eatery

I order from here about once a week, but I'd eat here every day if I let myself! I had the al pastor tacos last night — mmmm, so tasty. The nicest owners and servers, as well. Jaimito highly recommends El Rey! 😃

It’s a lovely small place in the tiny village of Hyde Park. The owners are from Oaxaca and the food is more Oaxaca than Tex mex. It’s really good. The people are so sweet. Ear here.

The best AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant in the Hudson valley! We go as often as we can with our 2 year old daughter who always enjoys her food as well.( her favorite are the tamales ) we have tried most of the menu my favorite is their torta de milanesa ! I love their breakfast torta special as well !! All in all everything is amazing and perfectly made. Fresh ingredients, authentic dishes, friendly staff and the best owners !

Just ate here for the first time (takeout) and the food was delicious! I had the birria tacos and my husband had the fried quesadilla. Both were very yummy! We will be back for more soon!

Do not pass this place up! The food was absolutely delicious! We got sopas, mole, and equites. The mole was the best tasting mole I’ve ever had, the equites was tangy, cheesy and corny in the best way! And they had these house made fruit drinks, I’m not sure what they were called but we got the mango one and it tasted just like you were drinking the freshest mango from the tree.
Omar, the guy behind the register was really kind and helpful for figuring out what to get (it all looked great). We will definitely be back!

It does not look like much from the outside, and the interior is nothing fancy, but the food is outstanding. Some of the best fish tacos I've ever had.
