Stopped in the other evening based on a friends recommendation and I am so glad I did. I have been looking for an authentic home cooked Mexican spot for a long time and El Rey was everything I could have hoped for. My visit was on a Wednesday so I was lucky enough to order their Birria special which was to die for. The staff were very friendly and you could tell the truly were passionate about the food they create. Already looking forward to stopping in again to try more dishes.
Traveled to the Hudson Valley and went to the Vanderbilt mansion and looked for something to eat nearby while we waited for a scheduled tour of the mansion. THE el Rey Mexican Eatery popped up and had 4.9 stars and was 1 mile away. We were extremely happy we went! Atmostphere was very clean and welcoming. I order from here about once a week, but I'd eat here every day if I let myself! I had the al pastor tacos last night — mmmm, so tasty. The nicest owners and servers, as well.
