The salad was really good and the yellow baby tomatoes are the sweetest ones I've ever eaten, especially out of season. Loved the little lady that worked the counter and wish her well in school! She advised me to hang onto the salad dressing on top so it wouldn't hit the floor and sure enough two people heading outdoors lost theirs back to back and she stayed cleaning it up. Yall hold onto that dressing!✌️
Great lunch spot. Quick and easy!

During my family's and my visit to the FDR Presidential Museum, we had lunch at Uncle Sam's Canteen. The canteen is built in a military style, complete with propaganda paintings.
As we are all vegetarians, we had grilled cheese sandwiches and salads (including the macaroni salad and potato salad). Not the fanciest food, but still very appetizing. It was also very convenient to eat on site, and the service was very fast (even though this was the weekend after July 4th). I would definitely recommend checking out this eatery if you're going to the museum and want to dedicate as much time to the museum and house as you need.
Vegetarian options: The grilled cheese sandwiches are very nice, as are the various salads.

This has become a favourite local stop.Delicious clean food and drinks. You can order a made in house sandwich/meal or a grab and go. My go to has become the chicken salad on croissant with a side of their potato salad. They sell these refreshing refreshers (lol) and the mix of flavours are all GOOD !Staff are friendly and kind. Location is superb it’s in the visitors center of a historic homestead of one of the nations greatest leaders. Roosevelt’s

There wasn't a single vegetarian sandwich. But I could buy a container of just steak. How hard is it make a cheese sandwich? I agree with others; it's a bit expensive for what they have.
Not much to choose from which is expected. It was just "ok" food
Expensive
Excellent location! Loved it!
Disappointed with the inability to see things

We live very close by and walk our dog on the grounds 2-3 times per week. We try to stop in for lunch a couple of times per season. We enjoy sitting on the outside patio. The food is pretty good if a bit pricey. The setting is relaxing and far enough removed from the busy highway to be enjoyable. Shaded and tranquil.
We ate lunch here on both of the days we visited. The menu includes sandwiches, soups and wraps. We were pleased with the quality of the food - the portions are large enough to share.
Surprisingly decent grub.
