Stopped into the Screamin' Eagle with my wife during a one night stay in Inlet. We have been to Inlet countless times but hadn't had a chance to stop in here until last night. Let's start with the good. We got two orders of wings, medium and Bad Azz BBQ. Both varieties were excellent. Good sized, nice and crispy and the sauce on both was great. Probably some of the best wings I've had in a very long time. We ordered a garlic pizza. Not bad, pretty much standard...
This place is, without a doubt, a very, very popular local place. The two of us went there at 4:00 pm hoping to avoid the crowd. Didn't work. There were two table available....even the bar and outdoor seating were back. You seat yourself, order up front and they bring the food to your table. We had a small pizza and an order of wings. Both very good. Personally, if you live locally you'd do better ordering take out than trying to find a table.
Was told by couple in Old Forge about this place and it is worth the 20 minute drive form there. It is a different place, but by no means a difficult place. You order your food in the middle of the restaurant like a fast food counter. The place itself is a restaurant and a cool dive bar. The wings were so good. Even their hot sauce had good hotness and flavor to it. The service was really fast, too.
