Cool venue, but the food is not 5 stars, except for the Roasted Hen of the Woods and the Wild Mushroom Slippery Noodle (outstanding). For example, the Fried Chicken Dumplings are VERY fried, creating a hard crust that overwhelms whatever little stuffing there is. The Smoked Salmon Fried Rice, was meh, with just enough salmon bits to call the dish "salmon." The braised duck Bao had bits of bone in the meat. It's a cool venue, but based on reviews, I had higher expectations.Four other things need addressing. $0.50 added to each dish and mentioned on the menu, about using that money for "cooks and porters." That should be a management decision and does not have to shared with diners. It's not for the money...it's a distraction to the experience of dining out. The alcoholic drinks are about $12 (way too high) and there are no ice tea refills, so I ended up paying $15 for 3 glasses of ice tea. The service is too fast, clearing dishes the moment you are done and removing dishes of other diners while one diner is still eating. That creates a sense of stress. Finally, there is no signage on the property as to where the restaurant is, so many, wonder about looking for it.

Meh. The place is extremely simple, small and hole in the wall-ish. The many high reviews must be for another establishment because I don't understand this place warranting them. It doesn't scream cleanliness, nor is the menu inventive. Their dumplings are doughy... Fried rice usually oily. In a pinch it's OK but not the place I like to frequent regularly.
This is the best chinese food place hands down.
Best Chinese food outside of China.
Best Asian food restaurant I had in Westchester so far
Awful!Attention was really bad in all possible ways! It took so long for them to process my order, then my credit card was charged with a price belonging to a different order (they exceeded $20+) and when I notice it, I was given ‘the change’ in cash with torn bills. Rice and chicken were tasteless and onions tasted like unwashed. First and last visit!

I ordered the chicken pad Thai and it was amazing! Would definitely come back!
Fresh, great tasting food!!
DISAPPOINTING! We tried the restaurant for the first time last night in search of a new local place and were VERY dissatisfied. The egg drop wonton soup was like eating Jello, the soup noodles were stale, the vegetable lo mein was tasteless, and the shrimp with garlic was goopy and the shrimp (which was mealy and clearly had been frozen) was off-tasting. We won't be trying this for a second time, I'm sorry to say.
My experience at this particular restaurant was great. The food that I had ordered (sesame chicken) consisted of great flavor, and the service was great. In addition, the employees were mindful and were aware of COVID-19 guidelines, and were overall very kind, and were highly patient when taking my order— I will be ordering from New China very often in the future.
Best Chinese take out in the Rivertowns. It is always tasty. The sesame chicken is the best.
