Good food, service and great location for scenic river view.. Beautiful Hudson River had ice floating downstream from the recent storm and frigid temps.

The moules frites winter special is terrific and well worth it. Really like the restaurant. Only complaint I have is that the beer selection is much too limited and more expensive than comparable restaurants.

Overall, the staff is incredible. We had hamburgers which while tasted good we're not cooked medium, and we're extremely greasy. The ambience is lovely. The prices are very high and was definitely not worth the visit.

Red Hat is a special place to meet. I love the inside of the restaurant and its beautiful views from most seats. Their art collection is always excellent. However, the noise level makes it difficult for people that are hearing impaired. I usually go in the warmer weather so I have the pleasure of a direct view of the river.

I had the steamed PEI mussels, good taste. Arrived to table barely warm. Very disappointing. Service nothing special.

Peaceful place to eat wit friends& family. Lovely view of the Hudson . Came here around 5:30 on Wednesday evening. Wasn’t busy or packed , simple menu. Staff are all young , high school senior / freshman yr college. Pasta was our go to dishes, plenty of parking . Able to take a nice walk after our meal, metro north train station is just a min away walk.

Terrible service. Not allowed to order an appetizer with wine while deciding on main course. Told we had to order everything at once. During meal removed husband's wineglass w/o provocation. Never asked wife if she wanted a second glass of wine. Wished us a happy anniversary with mini-biscotti while handing us a happy birthday card. Had not been there since Mr Patterson owned it. Will never go back

Our entire experience at Red Hat, from the hostess and host, to servers, the delicious food, restaurant setting and ambiance, was superb! Can't wait to return!

Food was delicious and being seated upstairs made for a quieter evening, easy to hear our dinner companions. Will definitely return.

The meals were flavorful. I was looking forward to having mussels but they were so tiny and difficult to grab with the small fork. Frites were great as usual. Service was a bit slow because everyone seemed to arrive at once.

Lovely as always. Professional service with a smile. Tasty and nicely prepared and presented food. Relaxed and comfortable environment. I highly recommend Red Hat OTR.

Red Hat never disappoints, whether for a quick lunch meeting, after-work drinks with apps, friends night out or a celebratory occasion! The staff is welcoming and helpful, the atmosphere is lively and fun (but you can still have a quiet conversation at your table without shouting), and the food is amazing. I’ve never seen or heard of them having an “off night,” which is impressive given the size of staff and volume they do. I would totally recommend!

This bad rating is because of management. It’s a beautiful location, even on the inside. The food isn’t bad. You’re paying for the view. The waitstaff is great, but management are mean & rude to complaining customers. They actually made my friend cry when they complained about the terribly prepared and grossly overpriced food. Even great restaurants make mistakes (not here), but how dare you be so rude just because you’re always busy.

Can't beat the location -- overlooking the Hudson River. Wonderful views and good menu. Food was excellent and the seven of us really enjoyed lunch at this very attractive restaurant. Service was good. Will go again -- hopefully in the Summer when we can sit outside.
