It's such a great place all around. Had taken my staff of about 25 for our Christmas lunch before we had the week off. We all loved it. Went back for dinner not long after.. so good. The hospitality is amazing.

This was our first time trying Peruvian food, and I think it's a new favorite. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! My husband went to pick it up and said the beautiful restaurant was packed... Although we did take out and did not dine in, I gave 5 stars for service because the gentleman on the phone was very nice! I highly recommend for high quality, flavorful Peruvian cuisine. Can't wait to try new dishes next time

Delicious food, the service is incredible, if you need to clear up on weekends it is a pleasant atmosphere to listen to good music, dance and sing in the karaoke. In addition, if you need a special order, do not hesitate to prepare it, highly recommended

Great Peruvian food, priced right.
The Menu is a little hard to read. The music was too loud.

Añañau Peruvian Cuisine in Island Park offers a welcoming escape to Peru with its cozy ambiance and community-focused vibe. From the Peruvian flag proudly displayed to the friendly staff, this spot feels like a warm embrace of Peruvian culture.

The menu is a flavorful journey, starting with the sopa de pollo—a hearty, comforting chicken soup that feels like a hug in a bowl. The seco de carne, a braised beef dish with cassava, was tender and rich, perfectly paired with its simple sides. The lomo saltado? A definite highlight. This stir-fried beef dish, with its mix of onions, tomatoes, and crispy fries, is satisfying and full of bold flavors that balance comfort and excitement.

The ceviche, while fresh and decent, didn’t quite hit the high notes I was hoping for. That said, it wasn’t bad—just a little overshadowed by the stronger dishes. However, the real star of the show? The alfajores. Hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. These delicate cookies, dusted in powdered sugar and filled with creamy dulce de leche, were nothing short of perfection. It was the kind of dessert that makes you close your eyes and savor every bite.

The service was attentive and warm, rounding out an overall great experience. While not every dish was a showstopper, Añañau delivers authenticity, heart, and some truly unforgettable flavors.

Must-try: Lomo saltado and those alfajores.
Perfect for: A cozy meal, a Peruvian culinary adventure, and indulging in the best dessert in town.
