Disappointing
Just perfect for an easy bite and quick drink with a canal view.
A Summer essential.

Great place to grab a drink and some food, beautiful ocean view, plenty of parking. Moderately priced. large catering or gathering room facing the water a plus.

Walked in and looked pretty good but got a dirty look from the waitresses and not even a hello or greeting of any kind. My wife and I just thought she may have had a bad day. We started following her to the side door and she looked back and shut the door in our faces. We then proceeded to the exit , got in the car and said never again! We went to Pete's raw bar down the block and had a good meal with friendly waitresses that actually care about their customers. We will never go back to Dox when Pete's is 3 minutes away......
I’m sure it’s fun for music and drinks but DO NOT EAT here! Dox is meant for music and drinks. The food is awful as well as the service. We ordered clams from the raw bar and they weren’t even cut from the shell! AND we didn’t have any silverware to cut them ourselves. When we asked for some, the staff totally ignored us. We ended up taking unused silverware from a table that hadn’t been cleaned yet. We asked for some napkins and the bus kid grabbed a stack from the bar. The ‘shrimp po boy’, please. It was two fried shrimp on a bun, $26?!! The mussels were covered in breadcrumbs and sitting in 5 inches of oil. We saw our waiter once to take our order and once to bring the check.
WORST food on the Island.

we go here often to hear an amazing band - Damaged Goods. Great music, great musicians, amazing singer. Majo problem with most of the crowd, (we knew 1/2 of them) was the service. After a long wait our food arrives and most complained there was NO silverware on the tableS. We asked for 2 separate checks, of course we got ONE check for the table. We asked a few times for water and NAPKINS, got them eventually. I feel the place was definitely UNDERSTAFFED. The food is decent and good menu. I hope on our next time to hear the band there will be better service and more servers.

Went on a Saturday at 830, the Restaurant was not packed and there were several tables that were empty. It took over 20 minutes before a waitress came to see us, and she had an attitude as if she didn’t want to be there. We asked for utensils that never came until we flagged/begged a bus boy and he helped us. We kept trying to get help and asking other waiter/waitresses because ours was nowhere to be found, even paying the bill was a hassle. I have frequented this place multiple times in the past three years And will have to say the most recent one will be my last. The food is terrible. The vibes are great and the service used to be good, which is why I kept coming back.

Parking is terrible! stay home or go somewhere else
Was there to use their party room for a sweet sixteen? And it was very enjoyable. The bathroom is right outside of the room and it feels much more Secluded than the rest of the restaurant. The room didn't feel too small and there was room for a dance floor.

Had a great time on a Tuesday night playing music trivia and having a couple of cocktails. Everyone was pleasant and friendly. The steak tidbits were absolute heaven. I’ve been craving them ever since! The only issue was that they did not accept gratuities on a card, so it was necessary to use the atm in the place and incur more fees. As a result the servers don’t get tipped the way they should which is a real shame. Not a great way to retain good staff. I can’t wait to go back though for more steak tidbits and music.

I went early on a Friday and the place was crowded though outside there was plenty of room to relax with a drink. The food was great despite it being super busy. Inside was way to crowded to dance. But the energy was upbeat.there is valet parking. You can park yourself but will need to walk a few blocks.very loud inside.
