“I went there at one in the morning the night my daughter was born. It was Sunday night so it wasn't too crowded but given the hour it's understandable. I drank a beer and and went home. the people were nice the beer was cold and that night was 26 years ago and they are still there, open for business and standing tall. Who even came up with the vodka fritters ?? He deserves an award!! They are amazing!! The meatballs are sooooo freeken good … my favorite has to be the garlic knots. They deserve a Michelin star .. especially when they don’t overcook them and they are drenched in garlic and oil ..
pizza selections are many and delicious, my personal favorite is the chicken Marsala pizza slice !!
Today we can and actually sat instead of taking out, the server Samantha was such a pleasure. She was helpful, kind , funny and so good with our questions. Hers smile killed!!
The people behind the pizza counter are so nice also !!!
The seasonal drink menu needs some tweaking, but no one comes to a pizzeria for the craft cocktails ..

“I cannot even begin to say how amazing this place is. They spared no expense decorating and renovating this space. The food was fantastic and is very reasonably priced. They have a huge center bar and lots of Hibachi tables and seating if you are getting Sushi. PLUS a robot brought our food! Ask for Alec! He took great care of us!“

From the moment we walked through the door on a busy Saturday night at 7:00pm we walk in simply based on a great name! The hostess Deanna was lovely and welcoming we were able to sit right away! The food was absolutely amazing and so were the drinks!! But the star of the show was the staff our waitress Emily was the best we have ever had! Just the right amount of attentive that we never looked for her and always felt taking care up. The busser also did an amazing job never a dirty plate on our table. “The Wayward never disappoints. I had the pleasure of dining in with a large group of coworkers for dinner and drinks. Not only were the drinks and food top notch but the service was fantastic. Shout out to Marcia for handling a table of 12 on a Saturday night with ease. Marcia was very attentive and timely to our needs, making sure to provide top service while also getting us out the door by a certain time so we could attend an event. “Ate here for the first time this past Friday 12/6. Walked in and loved the decoration of the interior of the restaurant. We ordered the Crostini for an appetizer, and I got the Mezzelune Al Tartufo and my Fiancee got Strozzapreti Gratinati for our main dishes. For Dessert we got the Apple cake. Our waiter recommended the Apple cinnamon old fashioned. Everything was phenomenal. I can’t wait to go back. They should promote that there is parking in the back so people don’t drive by if their isn’t parking in the front.“

“I took my mom here as I wanted to take her out on a date together. My mom deserves to get out and enjoy the lovely weather we have been getting up in the Long Island area. We came to this spot (by the way it's called "American Standard"). I think the bar/restaurant change the name.This spot offers live music, we enjoyed a guitarist play during the course of our stay here.We ordered the alligator fritters as our appetizer and catfish poh boy with a burger that had all kinds of galore in it.The food was fantastic, very delicious. The alligator fritters was phenomenal. It's rare to find a bar/restaurant to offer alligator in this area as there aren't any alligators or crocodiles nearby. It was well cooked, not dry. The dish presentation was cute.The meal was very filling as the burgers came with fries or side salad. The poh boy came with the same option, but my mom ordered salad. The food portions were perfect.The spot also offers a wide selection of alcohol, including many choices of craft beer. I highly recommend coming here to have a good time. It's very causal.“

“This is one of the best places to go on fire island for sure! Some great food and drinks and all the staff is great! There’s also drag shows at various times and that is awesome entertainment !!! This isn’t for everyone, you need to be aware that this is a gay area of fire island and so if you can’t handle that then stay home. However everyone is friendly and accepting and there’s never any issues or problems, you just have a great time! There’s a dance floor and outdoor area for dining,drinking or just hanging about.dress is very casual or as fancy as you would like to be. Either way it is a great time and only around in the summer…“
