Restaurant was closed when we arrived. Open Table allowed us to book a table and after a 15 minute walk we discovered it had been closed for over a month!
DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION! THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!!! Open Table will allow you to make and confirm a reservation but you will arrive to discover it isn't open.
The restaurant was closed, yet offered reservations on a busy parents weekend in Ithaca. No information on the restaurant not being open was shown, and multiple guests with reservations wound up outside and unable to get tables anywhere else at such a short notice at a busy time.
DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!!!! Booked this reservation on open table Came to Ithaca for parents weekend which happens to be very busy and tough to get in restaurants Was surprised to see such availability and now I know why We arrived only to find it closed Absolutely ridiculous!!! Had to find somewhere else which was difficult Very poor business practice in my opinion
The restaurant has been closed for the past five months. Open Table should not allow a reservation to be made.
We stayed at a nearby and wanted a real hot breakfast not one prepared and set out for everyone. This was not even a block away. We arrived right after they opened at 8:30 am so they were not busy. We were greeted immediately and told to sit where we wanted. Our drink orders were promptly taken. I ordered a latte and it was delicious. For breakfast my husband created a ham & mushroom omelette and I had the Farmhouse breakfast with fried eggs and sausage. The sausage was different I could definitely taste the herbs used, it was good. The breakfast potatoes were cooked just the way I like with skins on and browned. If we return to Ithaca I would definitely return for breakfast but they serve lunch as well.
Coltivare has been closed since May 26, 2023, but I didn't know that until I showed up for my reservation on July 2, 2023 because I received a confirmation for my reservation from open table on July 1, 2023. Please fix the open table app!
We had a fabulous experience on May 21. Attentive server and great food. The prix fixe was a little pricey but understandable as it was graduation weekend. The restaurant made all necessary changes from the comments on the night before.
We were highly disappointed with our graduation dinner. The restaurant had a limited menu and was price gouging customers who wanted to celebrate their graduates. We paid over $350 for 4 meals which included 3 pasta meals and 1 chicken meal. The pasta was over cooked and the chicken piece was small and half bone. We could have had a better dinner at a chain restaurant for less than $100.
Way to ruin a graduation weekend. The restaurant had 2 chefs for over 100 people. They had a fixed menu that was never told to us until 2 days before that was outrageously priced for terrible food. Absolutely bare minimum compensation for a disaster of a dinner. The restaurant should have shut down and sent everyone home that would have been more fair than charging $700 for mac and cheese, cauliflower, and mediocre entrees that took 2.5 hours.

Had a reservation for Ithaca Graduation weekend. Chose this restaurant bc the menu seemed good but when arrived there was a fixed menu. It was outrageously priced ($65 for chicken, $75 for steak) including an app and a salad. Terrible practice to not inform diners of drastic change to menu. There was a table behind us of 10 that had no where else to go, but hadn't been planning on spending 1,000 on dinner. The quality of the food was barely mediocre. Management should be absolutely ashamed. Absolutely terrible.
Went for dinner on Mothers Day. They were serving their regular menu which has maybe a dozen choices. My Short Rib was 50% fat. Pasta was overcooked, meatballs were dry and overcooked. The bread was an oily crouton, cut so thick you could hardly bite through it. Weekly catch was overcooked while the vegetables were under done. Panna Cotta was over set and solid. For 5 people it was over $300 (2 shareables, 5 meals, 5 drinks and 5 desserts) and nothing was cooked properly. It was not only us that had issues. A nearby table had to send a burger back because it was wrong and it took 15 minutes before the replacement came out. By then their entire table had finished eating and they ended up just getting a to go box. The venue was not crowded, 8 tables at most had diners, so the delays and issues cannot be blamed on how busy it was.
How does a restaurant manage to have all non -operational beer taps? On top of that, their selection of canned/bottled beers was just weird. Of the couple beers that looked like they might be a bit more normal, yup - they were out. Tried for a sparkling water but yet again - they were out. The server blamed this issue on a large party they had there earlier in the week but I'm sorry - that issue could have been a non- issue if the manager had done proper planning. The food was fine.
Good overall, nice atmosphere, service good, food good , they had vegetarian options and salads and pasta entrees were done well. We found parking easily on street actress from restaurant.
Went here for dinner with my parents after the show and it was our first time here. They loved it and kept telling me how great of a choice it was!
