This winery in downtown Ithica is in a beautiful building and has a small wine museum inside. The owner is so passionate and knowledgeable about the history of wine and winemaking. The tasting menu is small but wonderful with some off dry wines and dessert wines. I enjoyed the experience completely and did not leave empty handed.
Amazing place for wine !
Frederic the owner is very passionate about what he is doing. He explained very well and we feel very welcoming.
Nice Artifacts museum
We spent a day in ithica and this was our favorite thing. The wine was outstanding and Fredric the owner was great at walking us through each one during the tasting. It was also very cool to learn about the family history of this business and the antiques that made up the museum. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or casual drinker, either way we’d recommend.
Wonderful experience! A must-visit when in Ithaca.
Best wine tasting experience in the area!
Magnifique! Merci Frédéric!
Such a special experience. The wine tasting was so interesting and exciting due to Frédéric’s expertise and passion.
A worthy stop. Interesting and delicious.
We came to visit Ports of NY Winery after visiting several other vineyards and wineries along the Cayuga trail. I’m glad we saved this for last because it was my favorite experience of our weeklong trip. All of that is due to Frédéric, the winemaker, giving us an excellent tasting experience. It wasn’t just about the wine itself, but about the grapes and the history behind them. My wife and I were the only ones in the shop when we arrived and it was perfect. Frédéric has a wonderful collection of vintage winemaking equipment from France setup for viewing and learning about too. All in all, I highly recommend this experience. You won’t find a more genuine, kind, and experienced wine expert. Oh, and the wine is FANTASTIC. I dare you to walk out without a bottle….
Frederic was phenomenal! His wine making knowledge and the history of his family as winemakers in France was so interesting! The wine was excellent as well as their display of antique wine making tools that he brought from France. Highly recommend a visit to

This was an amazing tour, the owner was so knowledgeable and was very passionate about sharing the French ways of winemaking. The wines were top notch as well as personal experience with the guide. Highly recommend!!!!
Frederic was fantastic!! Such a caring host for our tasting and the wine was fantastic! Highly recommend this place and it’s very humbling experience!!
Ports of New York Winery was such a lovely experience! We came here with a group of 6 for a bachelorette party stop. We were happily greeted by the owner’s miniature poodle, Tucker, who was a very good boy. Owner’s Joanna and Frédéric Bouché were extremely knowledgeable. Our tasting was with Frederic, whom explained the history and making of their select wines. The wines were unique and delicious. We took the tour around their site and some cute photos in front of the wine barrels, featuring our new friend Tucker! Thank you for such a fun experience!
The couple (Bouché) that owns and run this winery are just the best. I've been on many winery tours on my 70 years, but this one taught me more about the French methods of wine making than any other tour I've been on. Just really fun and educational.
I would absolutely recommend! the owner is knowledgeable and loves to share his knowledge. All of the wines were good, I thought the Bordeaux blend was AMAZING, and I loved the darker port as well. with only four wines to taste it felt like a wide range of flavors.
