Sadly, Sammy’s is closed. The website shows open but the doors were locked. We tried calling and the message said to order online. When we tried to order online, there was a message saying Sammy’s is for sale. We stop every time we travel from Virginia to Syracuse because the pizza is the best we’ve had since Naples, Italy. Completely bummed!
I’m a native Ithaca and hands down this place makes the most def***ingLICOUS pizza - you simply won’t find a better slice of thin crust pizza around. The sauce is and toppings are crazy good but what makes this pizza stand out among the rest is it’s perfectly cooked-ever so slightly crispy crust that lends itself nicely to shoveling the first couple bites in your satisfied mouth. Went to order a whole pie ToGo, when I got to counter I was informed, " we are out of cheese , someone is going to store". So instead I bought a few premade slices. The garlic pizza slice was dry while the plain cheese I found greasy.$27 for 6 slices and 3 drinks .. it was avg I must say. Tables inside were dirty, so we sat outside. Wasn't impressed.
