Most soul-warming food I have ever eaten! The soup dumplings are the most beautifully juicy and flavorfully savory things I have ever laid my tastebuds on.

went here a couple of days ago and got their beef noodle soup, soup dumplings, fried dough (youtiao), and savory sticky rice. I’d say the food is pretty legit and tasty, but the youtiao is extremely oily and I find that they charge 50 cents for takeout containers and bag (they only charge a dollar for me though). I have seen many reviews saying they are rude, but I would say our interaction was just like with any other (I think they could just get a little grumpy since they are indeed Asian elderly). other than that, I would recommend! they have others (drink/ desserts) on their menu too but I wish they were in English so that others can try them out as well.
Ignore the reviews about the attitude and what not. If this “hole in the wall” place was in NYC it would be viewed as quirky.Bottom line: the food is legit. I’ve been to Tian Jin city myself and the food is authentic and great.

Originally the food was fine. Now there’s sanitary problem and the owner refused to solve it. Her attitude is always terrible, and she is racist to her own race. Don’t go there unless you want food poisoning, a horrible attitude and extra fees for using credit card to pay (adding 50 cents on every item), getting any amount of utensils other than 1.

Best Chinese food in Ithaca. Yes, the service can be a bit standoffish, but all Asian grandparents are the same, a bit grumpy most of the time. The old couple who run it make absolutely delicious, fresh food. During my time in Cornell this place used to be my favorite binge spot, especially on a cold, wintery morning.Now that I have left Ithaca, I miss their authentic Chinese dumplings the most. Even some of the big European cities don't have this stuff. Don't let the reviews on service hold you back from trying out this spot, you won't regret it.
Service is utterly horrendous and off putting. The lady at the cashier is extremely impatient and refuses to answer any questions about the menu. When requested, her response is that the customer either order immediately or she will no longer serve the customer. The other male staff is even more aggressive and in our case demanded our group to leave the premise despite it being a public space inside the mall. All these interactions transpired because the merchant is unwilling to provide any form of receipt, not even a written one, even when the order price ways exceeds the $20 threshold per receipt complaint policy in the state.

We stumbled across this restaurant in a search for food while visiting Ithaca, NY. The food was amazing. You could see them hand-rolling the dumpling skins in front of your eyes. We ordered the Xiao Long Bao(Soup Dumplings), the beef noodle soup, and the chicken wonton noodle soup. Everything was so good and and they even have a station where you can season your food personally!
