went here a couple of days ago and got their beef noodle soup, soup dumplings, fried dough (youtiao), and savory sticky rice. I’d say the food is pretty legit and tasty, but the youtiao is extremely oily and I find that they charge 50 cents for takeout containers and bag (they only charge a dollar for me though). Ignore the reviews about the attitude and what not. If this “hole in the wall” place was in NYC it would be viewed as quirky.Bottom line: the food is legit. I’ve been to Tian Jin city myself and the food is authentic and great.
Best Chinese food in Ithaca. Yes, the service can be a bit standoffish, but all Asian grandparents are the same, a bit grumpy most of the time. The old couple who run it make absolutely delicious, fresh food. During my time in Cornell this place used to be my favorite binge spot, especially on a cold, wintery morning.Now that I have left Ithaca, I miss their authentic Chinese dumplings the most.
