Ok I came here because of the insta recommendation and after seeing the good review . Had beef onigirazu which was ok .nothing super special about it . The said homemade lemon drink is only a hot water and ready made lemon syrup/sauce that you get in the market. The surprising part was the price point of view. I don't know why people say it's cheap compare to its size. It comes in a small plastic container and am sorry it didn't fill ma stomach like some said . It's just a snack but 10 dollar for such a small rice sandwich is too much .

Definitely a home style friendly environment, the owner definitely treats customers with open arms. The price is extremely reasonable and the quality of the food is amazing, reminds me of a local snack shop i use to have back in my hometown. Would definitely recommend for a grab and go?

It's a small cafe with a Japanese chef who makes it feel like you're in a small shop in the Shibuya. I came here for the onigiri but was left lacking. Overall it's a nice kept secret but nothing to write home about. But the food is cheap so not complaints there. Has that logo feeling of being in Tokyo but the food could improve. I've tried better onigiri for a higher cost but still the onigiri isn't worth travelling for. If you're in the area, take a stop otherwise there are better cafes

Hands down one of best places to get real Japanese Onigiri from an actual person from Japan. So good. He even has Onigirazu sandwiches. Real Japanese Cafe feel with OUTSTANDING coffee! Very delicious! A++++ Recommend!

I've had this place bookmarked a long time ago and did end up finally trying it sometime last year. This is a true mom & pop shop. I think it's pretty much a one man show. The owner takes the order and makes the food. That said, it's not the fastest service. But the owner is really nice and the food is yummy. Def worth a try.

This photo of my delicious oyster onigiri and honey and lemon drink was taken in October 2023, I had a craving for fried oysters and wanted one of their popular onigiri but it was late Saturday and they were sold out long before I arrived. The owner (very personable) offered to make me a fresh one after telling him I came out there all the way from Brooklyn just to have an oyster onigiri. Fast forward 4 months... once again I had to have one but luckily for me he had some already made. To my astonishment he remembered me and my oyster quest from Brooklyn. Talk about getting to know who your customers are. I was very impressed not only by the delicious food and drinks but how meaningful stories are made. Oh he also mention that the oysters were imported frozen from Japan; Hiroshima to be exact. Can't get any more authentic then that. Will definitely return since he promised me some photos from when he worked in Korea.

Nice neighborhood feel: very friendly and welcoming staff who know some of the customers by first name. The onigiri taste extremely fresh and high quality. I loved the beef sandwich, the spicy chicken onigiri as well as the soft shell crab. Spicy sauce is a must. Love this

I always want to go back!!! The spicy tuna onigiri and salmon sandwich are my favorites. But I always try something different, and it never disappoints. Can't wait to be back!!

Easily the BEST coffee in the neighborhood (by far), the food is amazing, and the owner is one of those special souls that you only meet in NYC.

The location is horrible, every store owner here is rude and completely illiterate, the owner of this store is probably the best English speaker in the entire area, but his personality was not the greatest either, area is dirty as well, but past all of these negative things, in the end, the food was great and cheap.

Perfectly charming Japanese-style cafe. Good for a quick bite or beverage, and there's seating for a longer meal. The food is made day-of and displayed in a glass counter, but I believe you can order fresh if you'd like something that isn't on display. They have a variety of Japanese snacks, drinks and mochi. Prices are reasonable, the space is clean, staff are polite and efficient. Credit cards accepted. No restroom available, none that I spotted at least. One of my go-tos for a coffee/snack in the neighborhood. 5 out of 5 for a cafe.Vegetarian options: Vegan and Vegetarian onigirazu available

A restaurant I found on the way to the library. In New York, I experienced a restaurant that felt like a Japanese street restaurant. Japanese restaurants in New York are expensive. However, this place offers full flavor at a low price like a Japanese university cafeteria. Although the space is small, I would recommend it. It is a healthy and sufficient meal at an affordable price.Vegetarian options: A vegetarian menu is available
