I say this at the expense of one of the older ladies there that seems genuinely nice and sweet, but I’m just not going to tolerate “number 2” in the bathroom customer service. The man that takes orders there is legitely miserable and blind to the light of joy. Absolutely rude and whatever decency in the food is washed away by his attitude. From not greeting you, hanging up on you when you call ahead like you’re a bill collector, holding on to extra ketchup packets like it was part of his 401k. Even the overpriced food items are not the deterrent that customer service is. But I’ll go out of my way, to liberty bagel or anywhere else even if inconvenient to avoid this place like the plague. Nobody I know will order from there or get a recommendation from me.

Love to come here often as the food is always good. Some of the staff are very rude at times. A particularly guy with a red hat is always rude to me when I order my food and gets my order wrong. This alone makes me not want to come back anymore.

Food is always great. Issue is with service. Hours are listed until 2pm. I ordered at 1:20 and got to the store @ 1:40. I asked for a hot pastrami sandwich in a toasted bagel. Cashier tried to give me a cold sandwich and blatantly lied to me saying that I didn’t specify that I wanted a hot sandwich when I ordered. Doors were shuttered and locked when I arrived. I refused the sandwich and had to leave the store hungry while the cashier continued to lie about my order request.

Took my three sons for breakfast before the Mets game. Very friendly staff - seemed family run. Bagel sandwiches were all cooked perfectly and bagels were excellent.

The old man in this Bagel House is so disrespectful and with a bad attitude in person and over the phone as well. Workers there are good but I need the owner of this store to address this issue.

This place has good food and coffee. Their issue is being able to answer phones properly and constantly leaving people on hold or taking forever to have the food done even when you call way in advance. Today I called to place an order for 3 large coffees and then I asked for 2 medium and 1 large and the man who answered put me on hold and told me to wait. I waited and they never got back to me. I called about 4 minutes later and a woman answered who put me on hold again and never came back. I decided to go in person and order. When I got there I waited on line. Someone else came after me and they started giving them service. I told them I had gotten there first and the woman told me that I had to come to the side.

She took my order and then the man who had first answered the phone proceeds to say

“you were the person who called and said you wanted medium coffees, then larges coffees then told me to wait. I DONT have time to wait”

I NEVER asked him to wait. He was the one who had told me to wait and never answered back. Even after I called again, I was told to wait. I understand that places like these get busy and there are rushes.

However, to make a comment like that which was a lie just to be spiteful after I literally hadn’t even complained about being left on hold and then respectfully informed the worker that I had gotten there first is rude and unprofessional. There should be more training for them.

It’s a place for the locals. People mainly order to go. Staff is decent. Area may not be the cleanest looking but it’s fine. I had plain bagel with chicken salad and it didnt disappoint.
