I found this place to be good in an understated way. No place matches this price-to-quality ratio. Their servers add to the experience. All workers showed authentic friendliness from our arrival. This spot offers good reliability.
Not satisfied at all with their service.
My sister and I have been to this restaurant years ago and that the food there is wonderful. Both of us ordered Momo, and many other foods. The service was wonderful. The atmosphere was that there were people eating in and that the restaurant was busy because their people ordering take out.
Best Nepali restaurant in New York City.
Good food with live music.
It's a very friendly and cozy environment. If you want to experience good music with a cocktail, then you must visit.❤️❤️
I live outside of NYC but been to this place many times when I visit NYC with my friends and family. My every visit to Himalayan Yak been a fantastic and memorable and I walked out with happy tummy. Love their goat bhutan, samay baji the most. All other dishes are equally delicious. Very nice staff, good ambience and delicious food. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go there myself next time when I go to NYC.
Good stuff
The website and signage indicated that the restaurant would open at 12, but when we arrived at 12:15 AM, it was still closed. We were also charged a 20% gratuity for a group of three, even though the menu states that this applies to groups of four or more. On top of that, the food quality has declined, with barely any “jhol” in the jhol Momo. It’s disappointing to see that my favorite spot in New York is no longer what it used to be.

The service was good, the atmosphere was good, but the food was subpar.
We have ordered chicken momo, Bhutan, sekuwa and Wai Wai sadheko.
Chicken momo was bland and didn't have enough spices.
Bhutan was soggy. It had too much mustard oil.
Sekuwa was alright, it was served with beaten rice which has too much mustard oil as well.
Wai Wai sadheko had fishy smell. I hate fish and could not eat it. It also had too much mustard oil.
It feels like the chef thinks mustard oil makes food tastes better and added bunch of it on everything.

Today I had the pleasure of dining at a wonderful restaurant that truly exceeded my expectations, especially thanks to the outstanding service provided by Ms. NIKITA KHADKI ❤️. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. Her attentiveness and genuine care for our dining experience were remarkable.
The ambiance of the restaurant is perfect for family get-togethers, with a cozy atmosphere.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for excellent service and delicious food in a family-friendly setting. Thank you, Ms. Khadgi, for making our visit so special!

In one word, awesome!! The food was the perfect combination of spices and taste. We ordered Napali thali, chicken Momo, and vegetable Momo. The food and service were awesome, and the atmosphere was filled with Nepalese music.
Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is wheelchair accessible because on street level.

Everything on the thali had no flavor and no taste. The worst bland thali I ever ate in my life. It was a "yuk" thali of the "yak" restaurant.?
