I came into this diner around 3:00 PM and ordered French toast. When it arrived, it honestly didn’t look like French toast at all. The bread was very thin, cold, and oddly uneven parts of it were still white while the rest was yellow. French toast should be fully soaked and cooked evenly, so this didn’t make sense to me.I opened the bread to show the manager that it clearly wasn’t prepared properly, but instead of the situation being handled professionally, the waitress became rude toward me for bringing it to the manager’s attention. She told me that next time I should tell her directly, but I was simply explaining that this was not what I expected or ordered.Overall, the food quality was disappointing, and the way the situation was handled made it worse. The staff should communicate better with customers, and the kitchen seriously needs to review how they’re preparing their food especially something as basic as French toast.

We went for brunch to this restaurant with our grandchildren. We were greeted by the nicest waiters of all time. My husband and I had the Club Sandwich and our grandson had pancakes and bacon. The portions were so generous and quite affordable. Our granddaughter was sleeping in a stroller and the lady who greeted us even helped us tilt the back of her stroller down and find the perfect place to sit to accommodate her. Wonderful place to go for lunch!

This is the quintessential diner and the food is fantastic! The service was phenomenal when I was there in August 2023! Pancakes cooked to perfection, eggs done as requested and selection in menu was top notch. I'm already planning to return here on my next trip to NYC, next year... It was that good!

Such a friendly greeting when we arrived! Never having been there before we were quickly met and told to choose a table. Our server was friendly and cheerful; quick to bring us steaming hot coffee! As busy as the restaurant was, we did not feel neglected. Just the opposite. We felt important.The food was classic diner food and comforting. We will be back :)
