This is a Thai run restaurant that combines a shabu shabu (hot pot) with Thai flavors. It is easy to miss as it is located on the second floor above a standard Thai restaurant. It is all you can eat and was reasonably priced at $24.99 a person. Overall, this is an interesting fusion place to try, though it is not without flaws. In terms of a shabu shabu, their selection of meats and vegetables is actually more basic than a normal one. The meats you can choose from include such standard items like beef, pork, chicken, some organ meats, and fish, squid, clam, and shrimp. The vegetables are on the side and were also relatively minimal in selection. A typical shabu shabu would have at least double the amount of items offered, but this place is much smaller. However, they are unique in that they offer Thai flavored broths for boiling. You can choose from a tom saap soup (lemongrass, galangal, lime leaves) or jaew hon (basil, shallot). We tried both soup bases and they were both very flavorful. As other reviews have mentioned, they also have an extremely delicious (though very salty) garlic fried rice, which you can help yourself to next to the vegetables and which is also unlimited.

Place was very smallSeating and mobility around the Restaurant was terribleThe fish, square fish balls and marinated pork were great! The garlic fried rice was also great. The service was below averageThis place is cash onlyThe chicken was super blandFor $35 (not including tax and tip) , it’s an okay deal.Went with a group of 11 peopleTotal was $49 per person

The food was average at best, literally nothing special about the menu. The seafood was too fishy and the raw beef slices were a bit discolored. The customer service was also lacking: waitress didnt ask how we were doing, had to fill our own water, didn’t have our soup base refilled. 20% minimum tip for subpar service and felt like I got scammed at the end lol :/

Tldr - pricey novelty hotpot and not a must try given food variety and excessive surchargesFacts - CASH ONLY. It is 35 pp pre tax/tip. 90 mins eating time. Additional $10 per person per 15 mins. That is an potential $40 extra pp for an additional hour stayed. There is additional surcharge for food being wasted. Addtl prices - Can soda is $3, beer bottle is $7, smoothies are $8, and various drinks like thai tea are $4.Starting service charge (tip) starts at 20%. Receipts shows tip prices up to 30%. THEY CALC TAX POST TAX.IE: bill was $142 pre tax . Should be $28.59. The receipt said $31.13. This is schemey behavior. I dont see many restaurants do this.Visit opinion - service was fine. Food came prompt. They refilled broth stock when they saw it was getting low. Stand out prepared foods is def the garlic rice that everyone boasts about. The variety isnt as extensive as it can be for a $35 price tag especially when u think about other general hotpot spots like spring, hai di lao, sheep, etc. Granted, they are not thai hotpots but the concepts are the same. The smell in the restuarant is very food strong. Reviews on thr spacing is accurate. It can fit like 8 4 ppl tables.I would not recommend this for a must try given the price point, food variety, addtl surcharges for bigger parties, drinks, and how they calculate tip using post tax amount.

First of all, I went to this Thai hot pot more than one time but never put a review. Another time the service was good BUT this time the women server was NASTY to our group. She was TERRIBlE!!! Another waiter was good but only her, She acted like she was mad and maybe she was upset with her sad life. So she didn't want to serve the customer good.I feel sorry for the business, to hire this suffer and sad person to serve customers. If you don't want to work at that day, you should take a day off and fix it out what you want to do, instead of destroying your workplace.I still gave 20% tip for the guy but still not happy with the woman. As long as you speak the same language, don't you want to get a good pay? the advantage of working at the Thai place didn't give you enough happiness? LOL! Poor you!Anyway, CASH only!!!

My boyfriend and I had been eager to try out this place, having high expectations since it's one of the few Thai hotpot spots in Queens. With its high restaurant rating, enticing photos, and an all-you-can-eat option priced at $34.99, we anticipated a great experience. However, it turned out to be a disappointment. Both of us are Chinese and wanted to explore hotpot options beyond Chinese cuisine. We ordered seafood (fish, clams, squid), pork intestine, pork liver, and meat. Unfortunately, the seafood was not fresh and had a fishy taste, while the pork intestine had an unusual flavor and wasn't fresh at all. When we ordered one portion, it turned out to be a lot of food for two people. There was even a note stating a $5 penalty for any leftovers. While we appreciated the generous portions, it seemed like each serving was more like two portions, making it challenging for two people to finish. Sanitation was fair, there was grout and food trapped in between the gaps of the electric stove. While the flavors may not have suited our tastebuds, there are people who enjoy sour and spicy dishes might find this place appealing.

Food was great. 3 dipping sauces to die for, chrysanthemum tea like I can't find anywhere else, and garlic rice like you've never had before... so good.Where did it go wrong? The bill. For my party we got presented with a 21.7% automatic tip. On top of that, the tax added was calculated based off the total with tip. which means we paid about 33% for tax + tip. It also wasn't indicated on menu that tip would be automatically applied for my party. Don't get me wrong. I loved the food and this was my second time coming back. But this will be my last because I feel scammed and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Oh yea they only accept cash.

Like everyone said, food is great and service is good. BUT I’m not happy with the price. The base price of $34.99 is already quite high, but what we didn’t know is that the restaurant also automatically charges a 22% tip. Then the tax is calculated based on the post-tip amount. At the end, each person ended up paying $45 ($34.99 x 133%) because of those shady charges. I wish the restaurant had said it up front. It left me and my group a bad taste in the mouth even though the food was good. It’s not worth this price lol

~ CASH ONLY ~In loveee with this thai hot pot! Pretty affordable ayce hot pot with a variety of options to choose from. I've gotten the tom zap, jaew hon and clear soup and don't be discouraged by the clear color of the soup, it's still packed with flavors! The quality of the meat isn't the best but I don't really mind given the quality of the soup, the sauces, price of ayce and GARLIC FRIED RICE were unbeatable.

Food was amazing! It has a very welcoming vibe and the decorations are really cool. My favorite had to be the seasoned pork and the garlic rice was delicious! Also had my first Thai Beer and now I'm hooked! Highly recommend!

This is my favorite restaurant in Queens. The food is delicious and prompt. All the soups I've tried have been amazing and the service is always friendly. It's cash only so come prepared, there's an ATM across the street. Great for small parties up to 6. They don't take reservations but you can let them know to expect you. I've rarely had a long wait to get in but if you have to wait there's a very affordable bar - Playground - underneath. Try the fish balls which are all fantastic, the garlic fried rice, and the pork blood soup. Thai hot pot has such interesting and delicious flavors compared to traditional varieties. I'm always telling people to try this place!
