I don't live in NY, but every time I come, I've eaten here, for the last 12 years or so. It was an obligatory stop, even if I was going to stay just for the weekend, however, I was very disappointed with my last visit. The food tastes nothing like before. It's bland, and replaceable with any other Chinese restaurant. The distinct flavor they used to have is gone. And the chicken now tastes and looks EXACTLY like Walmart's rotisserie chicken. I don't know what they did, but it's a major screw up.
Well, at least now I won't have to spend 3 hours on the subway going to Queens anymore.

This place has withstood the test of time. I came here when it first opened over 30 years ago. I highly recommend getting the NO. 7 Chicken & Spare Ribs. As a young man, I would always get it with French fries. Older and possibly wiser, rice and beans are the way to go. Don't let the simple and austere atmosphere confuse you, the menu may seem basic, but the flavors are rich and savory.
Make sure to bring cash, they don't accept credit cards.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! Sure, the food is somewhat alright, however, the cashier with the glasses and mustache is extremely disrespectful. My mother had gotten an extraction so she wasn't able to speak as loud enough. As she ordered the cashier looked at the cooks that were behind him and said "bring in a microphone here!". There was no need for such a comment, we merely wanted to enjoy our food but NO. TERRIBLE service! Instead of eating here, you'd have better chances of having a nice meal somewhere else.

Food is excellent, their chicken and rice can be addictive! They have various rices chicken fried and shrimp fried that you can order separately. Also the ribs are so juicy. ?

It’s been a while that I don’t eat here, but I do love the food and because it’s been a while I was craving their fried rice and decided to not ask for delivery but instead I went to the store personally to purchase.When I got home I had gotten the wrong order ?.I asked for a quarter chicken black meat and fried rice. Instead I got white meat with French fries ??♀️.I really do hope that the person that got my order enjoyed it??.For the staff!! PLEASE CHECK THE ORDERS BEFORE YOU GIVE THEM OUT!!PLEASE PAY ATTENTION!Thank you for the hands that cook so yummy for us.As for when I’ll go back idk. But just be careful! Thank you!

Pros: the waitress is super sweet and kind, the chicken here is extremely well seasoned and tasty, the place makes good fried rice with the chicken, the green sauce is pretty good. Yuca fritas are good here.Cons: not the fastest cashier, green sauce quality has fallen off a bit (not as creamy/thick).
