We’re from Long Island and we are so used to go to Barzola but we came on a Saturday morning to Barzola and we had such a bad experience walking in the place we left without eating, we found this restaurant across the street because we were hungry.. the salchicha is beyond good so we decide to come back on Tuesday.. I’m writing this review while finish eating.. we order the “escudo” plate and it’s amazing.. la guatita is exceptional.. service is good as well.. very good...
Drove from Westchester to La Puntilla and it was definitely worth it. You can't find decent Ecuadorian food in Westchester. The chaulafan was delicious and the second de chivo was even better. Caldo de salchichas is a difficult dish to master and theirs was very very good. Service was great and our waitress was super friendly. Will definitely be making the long trip back in the future.
La Puntilla is quality Ecuadorian food at a reasonable price. Ambiance is cheerful and reminds me of my years in Ecuador. Food is pretty good, overall. Humitas weren't too good, however. Rest of the meal was wonderful. Would recommend if you're looking for a good Latin meal.
