Horrible customer service, had a no tip option and then made a big deal when my family didn’t tip so we had to end up paying. Waiter kept ignoring us when we asked for water … terrible experience, wouldn’t recommend.

Quick bite w the fam here in the heart of Jackson heights. Prices and food, both are amazing.

They let my daughter have her pizza we brought from outside.

First of all, they add an 18% gratuity without asking you. And then when you pay with a credit card, the 18% is retitled to “service charge“. A little weird and a little confusing, I think they should work this out and they may want to consider the standard protocol for gratuities in New York City, which means they are not mandatory. I assume they implemented this policy because of problems with local people not adding a gratuity. There is also a 4% service charge added for paying with a credit card. I do not care for this type of add-on.

Anyway, this is a fairly basic local Tibetan joint with casual dining vibes. We had only a few basic dishes, which were all fine, but nothing to write home about. I guess I would call it. A Tibetan diner, that would be the closest equivalent. We enjoyed the chicken dumplings, which were steamed, although the skin is rather thick. We had the fried rice, which had a nice amount of spice and was quite tasty, other than the spice very similar to Chinese fried rice.

Parking: Very congested section of Jackson Heights, we found parking on a weekday evening about a block away, but it doesn’t look easy

Wheelchair accessibility: Looks like it is wheelchair accessible first floor

Great tibetan place. I like their chicken chilly a lot and get it with tingmo steamed buns. Their laphing is great too. I prefer to get the thenthuk or thukpa in the colder seasons.

I came here with my mom today and it was so hot out, plus we were extremely hungry! We argued about where to go because I don’t usually like the tibetan food in jackson heights though she recommended this place. Needless to say! BEST RESTAURANT IN JACKSON HEIGHTS!! Everything was so flavorful and delicious we finished everything which is so rare. I am writing this as I am in the restaurant because I am extremely satisfied with my experience here. No other restaurant can get Shapalleb as good as them!!

I don't quite know what I'm more upset about - the fact that there was a RAT running around the tables at the restaurant, or the fact that when I mentioned the rat to the manager, he was completely UNPHASED. Not only did this man not even apologize to me, but he completely IGNORED me and walked away.

If this is how they react to a rat in their restaurant, god knows how they handle other rodents and bugs in the kitchen.

Phayul used to be one of my favorite restauratns in NYC but their food quality, service, and CLEANLINESS has deteriorated. Will NEVER RETURN AGAIN.

This hidden gem deserves a spot in the Michelin Guide for New York restaurants. We enjoyed some of the best veggie and chicken momo dumplings in the city. The ambiance was calm and relaxing, and the service was excellent. We also tried the Laphing with hot sauce, which was incredibly spicy. I highly recommend trying the Laphing at least once. Note that this is a cash-only establishment, so come prepared.

I really like the food here. But the server attitude was rude and she acted like we came to have food for free .

What's not to love. Fantastic Dropa Khastsa (tripe dish), broth to die for. Excellent Chele Khasta (Beef Spicy Tongue) in sauce. Pork with Garlic and red pepper.
