The pizza is good, it's just that the guy who serves up front needs to be friendlier and more polite to all the customers.

I could barely eat the food and ended up throwing it out after a couple bites. The small pizza and chicken bites both tasted old and reheated. If they weren't that's even worse.

Genuinely haven’t had pizza this nasty, vodka pies are reminiscent of vodka sauce.

I pre-ordered 20 pizzas for a job-site team from Pizza Sam and picked them up, expecting reliable quality. Unfortunately, the pizzas arrived soggy, lacked flavor, and seemed undercooked despite being hot. It felt like they were rushed and didn’t get the care needed to deliver a well-made product, as if they pumped out 20 pies too quickly without giving any love to their final product. This significantly impacted our day and morale, as we needed dependable meals for a large crew. The overall experience did not meet the standard I’ve come to expect, and I’m considering trying a different option next time or providing feedback to help improve the quality. If you’re planning a large order, I’d recommend confirming cooking quality, flavor, and pickup timing to avoid a similar outcome.

Really great , fresh pizza and entrées. This place has been a staple of the neighborhood for decades .Family owned and operated you can taste the love and care put into their food. Pizza Sam has gotten pricier over the years but price is far more worth spending on homemade , tasty, dishes than those fast food pizza restaurants . You should come on down and try it !

It’s been a while since I had Pizza Sam. I wanted a slice so I ordered a slice. Then I saw that the slice was $4.36. It was already too late to back out. I couldn’t believe how expensive the slice was but more than that I couldn’t believe it was the one of the worst slice that I’ve had in a while. $4.36 for a slice in Jackson Heights It’s such a rip off, especially when it’s not even a good quality slice anymore. I definitely won’t be returning here again. They might as well change the name . Because this pizza Sam isn’t the same pizza Sam from back in the day

After years of patronage, I went in recently and ordered a chicken roll. I was shocked after they warmed it up and requested $15. Don’t know if it’s new ownership but this is a slap in the face to the founders. A chicken roll is $9 at Airway on Astoria Blvd and $11.95 at the new pizzeria on 83rd. Will never return.

Has a great selection of food. The salad is also delicious, the pizza can be filling at times, only few gripes is not having beef patties at times, certain dishes seemed a bit overpriced, there's also a limited space but not too busy at times. overall good spot to stop by

I get the Beef Patty. Its always underdone and a little cold. Used to be pipping hot, same with the pizza.

Not aure if its the specific counter person making my orders worse or not.

If you're ever in Jackson Heights and craving pizza done right, Pizza Sam is the move—especially on game night. I ordered a whole pie for the family during the playoffs, and trust me, they delivered more than just food—they delivered tradition.

This place has been a neighborhood staple for years, and you can feel it in the way they greet you like a regular, even if it’s your first time. The grandma slices are non-negotiable—crispy, flavorful, and built with that perfect thick crust (I’m team thin crust however).

Their menu is stacked with specialty pizzas you don’t usually find in the area—from Philly cheesesteak to baked ziti pies, it’s like a tour of comfort food on a crust. Bonus points for the prices—way more affordable than most spots nearby, and their website often hides a sneaky discount or two.

Whether you're feeding a crowd or just hunting for a solid slice, Pizza Sam doesn’t miss.
