I really want to be supportive of this place, but it was an absolute let down. Was a walk-in at around 2 on a Sat afternoon and the place wasn't busy at all. The friendly owner got us seated right away as we placed our order.

We should have stuck with the South Indian classics, but our hunger made us order the Gobi Manchurian ($15) which was an absolute embarrassment to this Indo Chinese legend. It was deep-friend Cauli with tomato sauce mixed - just terrible. The smiling Jake Gyllenhaal pictures at the entrance were equally deceptive!

The Butter Masala Dosa ($11) and Medhu Vada ($7) were acceptable, while the Paneer Dosa ($11.49) was literally served with Paneer that looked like it was grated with the one brought from nearby grocery store. Really wanted to be supportive of this family run business, but our food was just a complete miss unfortunately.

Service was quick, and food arrived within 15-mins of ordering.

I went in and politely asked if buy something can I use the restroom. The guy said no which is fair. I asked him if know there are bathrooms near by. He rude started pushing me out the door and said “I don’t know go use the park” There was no need to be rude. The only reason went there was because the place was empty. Now I see why. No support a business like this. They only see you as money. Respect should be core value for all businesses. This place should not be servicing people.

I did not taste much flavor unfortunately. The sambar was very plain. There was no spice in anything I tried.

One of the best restaurants in Jackson Heights, especially for vegetarians and vegans! Confused by some of the negative reviews here — sure, the service can be a little slow but the food is what matters, and it's consistently delicious. The dosa are flavorful and large, and the appetizers are all great, especially the samosas.

Food was ok. Owner was there to take orders and manage the restaurant. He is quite rude and even useless when I asked for suggestions. This is his restaurant?!!

Food was super slow. I wanted to add a garlic naan he is the one who said I have ordered together at the initial order. The workers there looked unhappy partially because of his dictatorship, perhaps.

I won't go back there
