the sandwiches here are the best in NYC honestly, great prices and a community was built here. The guys know what they're doing. There's a wide selection of snacks and drinks too. I love going to Sam's deli I've been going here for years already they never dissapoint. Out of all the delis on Jamaica Ave this is the best one.
I just got back from a trip to NYC and my brother-in-law treated us to dinner from The Halal Guys in Midtown and I knew it would be good since it was the only food cart with a block-long line after midnight. In fact I liked it so much I wanted to see if I could get something similar nearby... and I found it! I got the chicken and lamb over rice combo and while it wasn't quite the same it was still very good. The only difference is it didn't come with the pita bread and the white sauce tasted a bit different, but not bad. It also has more veggies so more "crunch" but next time I'm going to ask to leave them off (I just don't like the crunch...). I'm very happy to have a local option at a good price and generous portions. Thank you Sam's.
