Over price and the food wasn't great as people say it is and the amount of food you get isn't enough for the price you paid Chinese give more food for alot less they don't even give you a half of chicken for 15$ when order chicken fried rice like other restaurants that serve chicken fried rice. Let's not forget no delivery you have to go and pick up your order .

Chicken friend rice for $16, price not bad, but at least it should have a slice cucumber or cabbage etc. the pepper sauce to go with it, was Tabasco sauce, or vinegar with color water. The lady at the counter rude as ever. Have to pay additional $0.25 for pepper sauce, didn’t mind but wanted real pepper sauce. Maybe it’s new owners? Definitely was a waste of $16.00.

I hate to leave this review but they sold me stale food. I ordered chicken fried rice which came to a total of $50 and I was so disappointed when I realized the rice was stale. This was my family’s Friday night dinner!!! I think they knew and just didn’t give a shit. 😒

On Thursday July 3rd 2025 pastries were bought from this restaurant and there was molded pastry.
I don't know how long it takes for a cheese roll to grow mold.
However to make matters worse when I called them to advise as to the circumstance they were so rude and incompetent that I couldn't continue the conversation. I then called the next day they seemed a bit better and when they received the complaint the change over to unprofessionalism reappeared. The person (Kim) is cold and impolite and made it look like it was my fault that I got molded pastry. No empathy nor concern shown on her part. I can't understand in this day and age how some of these businesses don't have a way like email or text to verify complaints. I live like 4 miles away so that approximately 8 miles both ways and should get there with the bag of 6 pastries to them. How about it gets verified over an email/text and then it can be reimbursed or otherwise taken care of the next time I come. I tried finding the owner of this restaurant and I did but I was unable to reach her. You need to pay attention to your workers attitude. People can get bad goods...but the way it is handled makes a big difference.

Where to start? The chicken fried rice was ok, had better. This restaurant has an eating in with no rest room for customers. The staff was not helpful, they were very rude! Staff was not very welcoming, not a smile, they seem miserable in their work space. One customer was there before us, and as soon as she left, all the staff gathered around to speak ill of her. That in my opinion is rather disrespectful, since i am a customer and was present when they were gossiping about other customers. They did not want to accept our credit card, kept asking to pay with cash, then demanded that we bring cash when coming back. News flash we will not be coming back. Will not recommended. I would put zero stars but the food was ok.
Only went here because i am always on the hunt for good authentic Guyanese Chinese food and saw this place on the Tok but nawww! Can’t trust folks like this.

Ordered a large tray of fried rice along with the tray of chicken and asked for some hot sauce and to my surprise the lady said no. Not a way to handle business.
They deserve none stars . That portion can’t even do for 2 adults ! All the other restaurants I bought from , I always have leftovers. 2 pieces of chicken, like seriously 😂. All who said it taste like Guyana fry rice can’t cook 😂. Y’all should hire chef Ramsey to fling the food away

The Carifesta in the Bronx is better. Cash only in 2024! No menu. She said take a picture. Wild. Unfortunately, only one person is taking orders. Because of this you are waiting too long to place your order. She is taking orders in the restaurant and in the phone by herself. My rice was burnt! Burnt! Burnt! The pepper is watered down yet they are asking you to pay 0.25 cents if you need an additional pepper. Tried the carifesta in the Bronx and it’s much better than the one in Queens. But overall it’s not bad.

we ordered fried rice and chowmein with chicken! the fried rice was delicious! the chowmein taste terrible! it taste so bland and had no flavor. not sure if they forgot to add seasoning! the chicken was good too but it was so little bit!

Sadly disappointed, after many years of buying at this place, the food quality has dropped significantly, and very little upgrade was done to this place. Customer service was was decent, but unfortunately a place that was known as the best Guyanese (halal) Chinese has lost its touch. Hopefully they can make some improvement in regaining they're name.
