If this is the restaurant outside of customs and immigration in terninal 4 Jfk. This place has been shut down since Covid. It would actually be a great place to eat outside of customs and immigration. I believe they could do a great business.

If I could give zero stars I would. We paid $5 for the coffee which was cold. When we went back immediately after taking a sip, the lady behind the counter told us to buy another one it cannot be replaced and was extremely rude. Meanwhile she is drinking Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee herself. Goes to show she does not even want to drink coffee from the place she works at. Central diner to go should “go out “ of business.

The diner side is closed, there is a small to go section but avoid if possible!! Really rude staff who don't care about customer service at all! trying to rip you off for bottled water ( no prices displayed) wanted to charge 12 dollars for 2 small bottles! And they only take credit cards. Not impressed!

The small to go section is horrible, poor service, cold coffee and rude like hell staff stay away.

The food offerings are bad, the shops just make for more walking. The gates—especially the “B” gates—are laid out on an endless hallway. You’re in for a long walk if you draw a high gate number

if flying delta, check in at terminal 2 (not 4), then take shuttle bus a quick jaunt across the tarmac to terminal 4. that way you skip the long lines & breeze through security, which is rarely busy.

OMG, Central Diner was actually excellent. More than anything, Central Diner has an awesome vibe. These guys are certainly serving yum in here. The team is very friendly. I really valued that. Highly recommended this place any day.

We were surprised to find this place. After 2 weeks in Europe it was nice to have some hearty American food on arrival. We had Roasted Turkey dinner. Pretty good. Staff was very disorganized and service was slow.

Despite the negative reviews and lack of other options, we decided to give this place a chance during our 7 hour layover at JFK. Service was excellent from start to finish and food was great as well. It was admittedly a little pricey but considering the options they have a monopoly on the business pre-security. Otherwise, no complaints at all!

Prices are a bit much but it is on par for airport pricing. The chicken tenders taste great. The shrimp are the regular processed shrimp you buy in the bag from the grocery store and cook up. So don't expect anything fabulous. Good for what it is, overpriced diner food to pick up after a long flight and you have nothing at home. Very nice, attentive staff.

Seated in one location by the host, then told to move by the waitress. Starting your customers off with a bad taste in their mouth is a pretty poor game plan. However I was then pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the Greek salad and my friend had an excellent Reuben. About as overpriced as expected in an airport.

Not terrible food, but not outstanding. Service was absolutely horrendous. It took them at least 10 minutes to acknowledge me, and 2 other people left due to lack of acknowledgement while I was there. The food was okay, but extremely overpriced. People only eat here out of convenience. Definitely not because of the quality or customer service. The employees were blatantly gossiping while customers were waiting to be served. Those customers were the ones who ended up leaving. Business could be better if employees were adequate. Some of the worst employees I've ever witnessed, and I've traveled a lot.

This was a very basic place that had several "diner" options and was open after midnight when we landed. Don't look for anything fancy - you get what you ask for. The hostess wasn't kind or friendly to us - maybe she was tired, which I understand, but still also rubbed us weirdly. But alas, we didn't come for good service - we came for survival food after a long cross-country flight. And for that as well, we got what we asked for.
