The food is quite nasty here, the chicken is sometimes stale or cooked in old oil which has an unpleasant odor. The person who’s behind the cash register is also quite rude and tries to skimp out on customers by giving them the smallest piece of chicken by nitpicking through them. It’s unfortunate because I grew up eating from this crown fried chicken and I remember when it used to be great when ran under different owners/ managers. It’s sad to see what it’s become now.

Never leave any reviews to any restaurant but this time I have to.BAD SERVICE & DISGUSTING FOOD.I came, ordered 3 wings and 1 sweet potato pie. And had the meal right at the spot. After I finished eating, I asked the worker (a hijabi) for a cup of hot water. She said "OK." Then I was waiting for like a good 5 minutes and she still doing her thing. Cuz I gotta go, so I ask her again where is my hot water. She looked at me in the eyes, tight, like I was asking her for too much. Then she pointed at the other customer and said "You don't see?" In my head I was like what the F does that even mean, I came first. But I was still chilling and patiently waiting for her. Then she finally came out with the tiniest cup like a hot sauce cup of water. I was like no I want the small cup that they use to put hot coffee. Then she yelled at me and said "1 DOLLAR". I was like okay tf I was not asking for free. If you ask nicely I would have gave you that dollar like are you dumb. Just because it was rainy, I had my hoodie on, dripping, looking crazy that what make she think I'm a bum or sum.She should never pray cuz God aint gonna listen to people like that. Please treat everybody kindly if you don't want karma to come to you. That's it!The sweet potato pie was alright but cold. And the chicken wings was dry and cold. Their food is very dirty.

The food is great, for the amount of selection they have Its really nice to see them keep up the quality however the places Ambiance is a bit off putting as the section where the place is a lot of people hang around, and just dirty.

After attending a concert, I was craving lamb over rice. I arrived a little before midnight on a Friday, and this place was open. It was a little busy, but I was able to place my order in less than5 minutes. The wait for the food was less than 15 minutes (2orders). The food was hot and pretty tasty. As for the negative reviews about the staff being rude, I had the opposite experience. The guy that took my order was friendly & polite. I would definitely come back to this place.

Crown Fried Chicken hillside ave 168st was one of my favorite spots for late night but now they are worse not good service and they don’t have enough stuff whenever I go inside I see there’s no chicken it’s empty and I have to wait 10 15 minutes for the food

This is a solid local spot! Affordable, made to order, good rapport with customers and good menu options. This little place was literally down the stairs from where we stayed and that was major convenience! We maybe went here 6 times during our 7 day NY stay. Items we ordered. Cheeseburger Fries Salad Mac and cheese Potato cheese jalapeño bites (they had a different name) These are probably some of the best fries from a fast food joint. They aren't fresh cut but whoever their supplier is, they have good food! The fries are crispy, soft, and seasoned well. The perfect size too! Not too thick or too thin. The Mac and cheese was pretty basic. Not bad, not the best. I would say a couple steps down from Popeyes Mac and cheese. But better than grocery store deli Mac and cheese lol. My son liked the burger, and I loved how it came in a plastic container. It was a decent basic frozen patty and worth the price. The jalapeño cheese bites were great!! I loved them so much and would order them over and over again. The salad was ok. A few veggies were too soft. All in all, would visit on my next trip. They have lots of other options as well and I'm sure there's something for everyone.
