I stopped by Steve's Deli after work cause I was crazing a good chop cheese. I saw one review where they stated they had a good one at this deli. There are no options by where I work and this was not too far away from fresh meadows where I live. I must say 5 out of 5. It was perfectly made and bread was lightly toasted and it hit the spot !!! I hope that next time I crave a chop cheese it will be just as good as it was that day.

This is the worst deli in New York. They allow people with no masks! And lots of ghetto people come here. Ugh so sketchy

This place rules. Super super nice owner steve who was real friendly and helpful. Excellent sandwiches for breakfast! I'll probably stop back in for lunch! If you are in Jamaica Queens for any reason, stop in, say hi to Steve and get some delicious food!!

L was in the area so I told him to go try this place out. Only had one review so I was a bit hesitant...I guess this place is new since the cook didn't even recognize the items on their own menu and had to check what was in it...so of course L got annoyed cuz I chose a sandwich they didn't recognize. HTF should I know that the people who work there have no clue what's on the menu. Yeah I chose the weird Philly cheesesteak sandwich. It sounded much better on paper than in reality. It didn't taste like a real Philly cheesesteak sandwich. It had a lot of mushrooms in it but the gravy sauce tasted weird and it barely had any cheese. He also ordered a halal gyro over rice. Not sure which protein... chicken probably... I really didn't care for it. It didn't taste like anything you'd expect from a halal place. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh but the seasoning on the food was non-existent. Where are all the spices! Didn't taste cumin, coriander.. garlic, etc! So bland. No heat whatsoever from the sauces? It tasted more like creamy bbq sauce. Don't serve halal food for the sake of having variety on the menu. The texture of of the rice was a lil odd for me and it wasn't basmati rice. I'm giving it 3 stars cuz it really was just okay, if anything, I'm being a bit generous. I didn't feel like cooking lunch on a Friday but I could've easily made something tastier for less money.
