My first time getting from the truck today in Fresh Meadows. The food is hot and fresh. Looks like they are only here on weekends with a nice menu to choose from. Very polite people waiting to serve you with a smile.

I bought a dinner plate jerk, chicken and peas and rice and I expressed to the young lady that I did not want a lake. She said, that's fine. I'll give you 2 thighs when I get home. It was a leg in my box on top of that. I asked her for extra salad as well and told her whatever the extra I will pay. She did not give me extra salad like I axed, and she put the lake in my box like if you can't take simple orders. Then why are you working there? It's just that simple. But yet, and still she charged me extra money. So what did I pay extra for I will never come to this place again

High price, 15+ minute wait for cold food (every single part of the plate we ordered), alright flavor but dry, and person taking orders seemed frustrated & was taking it out on the customers.
This place is super confusing, it seems like they have more orders than they can handle - but yet my food was cold, and dry.
They complete 1 order about every 4-5 minutes. I'm honestly not sure how it's possible for my food to not be hot. Is everyone just waiting around to give the impression that my meal was fresh? Sounds ridiculous and unlikely but not really sure what to make of it.
I hope your experience is better than mine.

I just pull up with my red car this place was 1minute from closing but these workers just assisted with me and my family meal which I wasn’t expecting to get any food .Very helpful workers with great service.Just bought jerk pork and rice and this is Mthf delicious.keep up the good works and god bless u to expand more with this hospitality.love and respect from a good Guyanese sister.🙏🏽.Everyone should support this business.

Gross! This is the worst jerk chicken I’ve ever had. Wasn’t seasoned! It tasted like they just put it on the grill from the pack. I got chicken without a side and it cost $19. That’s a bit much but I don’t buy a price on good food! But this was far from good. Then they give you some watery sauce in a package. Idk how this place is still in business

I ordered for the 1st time this evening and I really enjoyed it . I got the jerk pork which was seasoned very well, rice & peas was great , came with a side salad & plantains. I like how they accommodated me when the drink I ordered ran out (Cherry Lemonade) , however I enjoyed their JamRock Passion Fruit Lemonade though. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again real soon
Ordered “jerk chicken only” side of rice&peas and sweet plantains. It was sooo good! My main complaint is that the sides were so small. I ordered same meal through grub hub as 2 months ago and the sides cost the same ($8!) but were 2/3s smaller. Not sure that the sides are worth it for $8.

Food was nasty, didn’t taste how it looked, no love in it honestly, Mac and cheese tasted like it came out a box which is probably why they do buy one get one, I’ve never even cared to give a review but I would avoid this honestly. Also the French dressing was more tangy than you would expect, the jerk sauce was ok though. The chicken clearly wasn’t done on a grill.

I was excited to try J.J. The good reviews and my co workers recommended them sold me, I came towards the end of the night but they still had food, the workers were attentive, portions are big can easily feed 2 people, and the flavors was there. My son oxtails was tender but VERY small, idk if it was because it was almost closing time but for $22 customers deserve to be given nice size pieces of oxtails! Plantains was hard, and the jerk chicken was okay, flavor was there but I just couldn’t get passed a certain smell I had to put in air fryer just to make sure the meat was done cas baby no I’m not finna get sick. Overall it’s basic 🇯🇲 food, nothing to HYPE about, would I return maybe but I still think Tropical Jerk on Liberty got the best Jamaica food!..

I started to eat before taking the picture because it smelled so good. The food was excellent and plenty for the price. I wish they were at the park permanently. My coworkers and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. And the tangerine lemonade was a nice touch to my meal.
