Opens at 9:30am, useless. Avoid it if your flight is B4 11am

An old lady at reception is very rude. You need to train her how to communicate with the customer politely. Food is great and bathroom is clean.

Comfortable, spacious.
Would be a 4 star if the food selection was more diverse and abundant

they were rejecting passengers with priority pass even though they had abundant open seats. (we know because only 1 of our family members was permitted to enter earlier in the night) They would not even let a 6 year old child or a pregnant woman use the bathroom before rejecting them from entry.
Priority pass not accepted for no reason. š
All the drinks or food are included if you are currently flying in Korean air, but I would say the food that I ate there. Some of them are too bland and I didnāt really like it so I think they should morally cook the food really well well other than that the service is pretty Like unacceptable because the tables that we got there was no one like to clean the tables right away so this lounge should be a little bit improved whether custodial services.

They DO NOT accept Priority Pass and should be removed from the Priority Pass program. Tried to enter multiple times on different flights and they always turned my Priority Pass away even though it was essentially empty inside. Very disappointed and made be feel discriminated. Korean Air should do better.

Smells good, not allowing priority pass
Sol below is correct. Itās subpar. I give it even less because the āpriority pass holder access is limited due to space constraintsā has been up for a while. They just keep it out since I saw it November of last year (2024) and 5 flights afterwards; so probably even earlier than that.

It's a decent comfortable lounge, with good WiFi. Not at all crowded when I was there. Adequate toilet facilities so no lines- the men's room had two stalls and a urinal (I've been in lounges that had just one for each sex resulting in waits and even some that had no toilets- you had to go out to the ones in the terminal) and two sinks.
Food- the selection is rather limited but the three cheeses, fruit selection, the chocolate and oatmeal raisin cookies were all very good.
The coffee is also good but surprisingly the machine doesn't have cappuccino (but the latte was a fine substitute).
The outer wall is all windows letting in lots of light and providing views of the water and planes taxiing by.
The staff are very attentive- clearing dishes and cleaning quickly.

The most unfriendly welcome by their two hostess gives way to a cascade of noes when we ask if they take Priority card (which they advertise clearly they do). The most outrageous no was based on an imaginary KAL flight about to depart and the need to make room for the KAL ticket holders that might be arriving. The big lounge was empty and no flight was scheduled to depart for another hour and a half and they still said no. I am no expert in hospitality but one would think a little more from such an outstanding award-winning airline.

The seats seem to be too close together. Maybe because there are a lot of passengers, but it's good for resting before takeoff.
Vegetarian options: salad. fruit
Wheelchair accessibility: space is limited

Priority pass not accepted. They'll tell you that the lounge is "too busy" even if you're the first one there and there's quite literally no other visitors in the lounge.

I have been to this JFK terminal 1 KAL lounge for over a decade. I am writing this review in the hopes KAL ups its game. The Centurion Lounge or Delta lounges are bigger, have a large variety of gourmet food, a full bar, coffee and dessert. I think the food in the KAL lounge has not changed in like 10 years!! This airport lounge is cheap and does not give a good impression for the KAL airline and in my opinion hurts the KAL brand. I hope management reads this review and improves the lounge starting with the food.
I give one extra star because the food in the KAL plane business (prestige) class is actually very good.
