La Gitana Bakery has some truly delicious, fresh cakes that are worth trying. The quality of the baked goods definitely stands out. However, the service wasn’t as friendly or attentive as expected. If you’re going just for the sweets, it’s a great stop, but don’t expect top-notch customer service.

I will put zero stars if I could I went in there yesterday, November 27 and spoke to the lady about Tres Leches she pointed to her right and I asked her if this is strawberry tres leches, she said yes, so I bring it to my mother-in-law‘s house and it was a strawberry cake. They lied to me about the cake. I called back to make a complaint. They refused to give me a refund and said nobody there speaks English, and I know that is a lie. I am very, very disappointed with the service I have received.

The arepas with cheese do not taste good, they are sandy, they use a cheese that seems to be artificial, the bread was hard and did not taste fresh, it seems that it has been on the counter for several days. I do not recommend buying bakery products at this place. High cost and dissatisfaction with the quality of products.

It's a small place but has tables. The bakery choices are varied and they have hot food and soups. I enjoy the pan de bono and the croissants.

It's probably the best colombian coffee spot on jamaica Ave. I can really say they never dissapoint. The empanadas are perfect, and coffee is good. Havent tried the lunch but if everything else is good what can you expect.
