For an airport? This was amazing. Definitely expensive but it's worth it in my opinion. Had the chicken Parm sandiwch, fries and a pepsi, tho you can get tap water for free. With tip and taxes it was 40$. But to get mediocre airport food, Id rather pay extra and get good food.

AMAZING margherita pizza. Honestly the only good restaurant in the entire terminal. Very very good pizza, especially considering it's in an airport.

Overall experience was a 1/10 service was horrible the food was even worse, tasted like McDonald’s eggs heated with fake cheese …. breakfast potatoes were cold and not seasoned at all but dine at your own risk ⚠️

Chose this spot because the food court in the terminal didn’t look too appealing. Ordered the chicken milanese based on the servers recommendation. The chicken was savory and had a nice breading. Decent sized plate for the price. The service was great and the gentleman behind the bar was courteous.

Me and my husband recently had a fantastic dining experience at La Vie in Terminal 5 at JFK Airport. The service provided by our waiter, Jon, was exceptional – he was kind, friendly, and ensured our dining experience was delightful. The overall service was excellent, and the food was equally impressive. I highly recommend La Vie for a quick meal before your flight. Five stars!

After wasting my time and money on Custom Burgers, I was hesitant to try any other restaurant in Terminal 5. However, I am SO glad that I ended up at La Vie! We ordered two of their margherita pizzas and were shocked at how amazing the food was! The dough was light and fluffy, the sauce was flavorful, and the cheese was delicious. I can’t wait to fly out of JFK’s Terminal 5 again just for a chance to enjoy this pizza again.

Food was incredibly dry and salty. The bacon and home fries looked and tasted like it was re-heated. The eggs were the only thing made fresh. Couldn't force myself to finish half of the plate. It was that bad even by airport standards. Otherwise, our waiter was quite pleasant and nice.Don't recommend eating here.

Save your hard earned money and DO NOT stop at this restaurant! Waste of time and money: they charged me $4.99 for a small Diet Pepsi which was served with LOTS of ice, no refills: 2 sips and it was gone. Ordering and payment procedure can be difficult if your phone's WiFi capabilities are slow or your phone battery juice is low. Not a charger in sight. The place was not busy at all, with 2 patrons sitting on bar, drinking wine. For some reason, my meatball appetizer took over 20mins to arrive--in fact, I never even got to receive and enjoy it, as my flight started to board, attendant said food wasn't available yet, and I had to dash to my gate.I really thought I'd like this spot, due to lovely Parisian decor. Very disappointed.

This place was amazing almost entirely because of the bartender/waiter who's name unfortunately I didn't get. Really small cafe in JFK serving Italian fare with a decent wine and beer list. The chicken parm and margherita pizza were OK but just hanging out here killing time for my flight and drinking a beer with the bartender was that old school airport experience I thought was gone forever. Great job.

Decent enough food to kill time at JFK. But the conversation with Ken was what kept me here for my 8 hour layover from Chicago to London. Even gave me a cigarette or two to have outside the airport on the smoking section and gave me a lighter. Ken is a really cool dude/worker/human being. If I'm ever back to JFK in this Terminal I'd be sure to check to see if he's working that time. And an update to prior reviews, apparently they can make food to go now.

This place is overpriced and nasty. I paid $34 for a chicken caesar salad which is ridiculous. Not only that, the salad was a small portion and the chicken was very under seasoned. I do believe our country can have plate sizes too big but for the love of God, give people more lettuce. Oh and the caesar sauce was whack. You can find better food at a bodega. It was a cute atmosphere thougg. But that's mostly because it's in the TWA Hotel so yeah, one star.
