We ordered 4 beers and we had problems with payment trying 3 different credit cards (we had been using them a whole week during our NYC stay). The staff got upset and was quite rude refusing to give us back the card, eventually we tried a new card that worked. Awful service, not recommended.

Ordered the chicken club, the bun was stale and hard like a rock.

Really bad… don’t eat there

TLDR: expensive average food, terrible terrible service

Be very careful here, took 20 minutes and still waiting for food - may have to walk away - not what you’d expect from an airport

Drinks came at 24 minutes, no apologies just annoyed faces

You tip before you receive food and drinks….. fail

Stay away

They went to the business across the terminal to get water and coffee that are listed on their menu. Our food sat out on the counter for over 5 minutes before it was served and their were only 5 other patrons in the restaurant.

Really dreadful service. Just a small few eating but we waited almost an hour for food. The food was no more than a slice of toast with a few cooked veg thrown on top.. We don't understand how a place this bad gets a franchise at JFK airport.

Only ordered a quick beer before my flight. Service was fine, but when paying the bartender basically forced me to tip. Every time I pressed “other” on the terminal he reset it and held the terminal firmly in place watching what you entered on the screen. This was rather forced, I was going to enter a custom tip and would have been a good experience apart from this forceful tipping

The food was reasonably enjoyable. I thought the nicoise salad was good. Yea I've had much better nicoise salad, but given this was an airport I thought this was quite good.

The space was open and airy and bright. Many many tables. There were probably 20 guests total spread between the tables and the bar, so it felt lively.

Unfortunately that would be problematic because there was only one server in sight. This was around 2:15pm on a Sunday. I felt bad for the young woman.

Probably 10 minutes after I sat down, another guest came up to the bar, presumably complaining about the slow service, to which the woman said something like I'm by myself.

10 minutes later, which was 20 minutes after I had placed my order on the website using the qr code specific to my table, the woman came by to reconfirm that I had ordered -- she had already come by soon after I sat down -- which suggested something was going amiss. I knew this was true because two guys who came in after I had already placed my order got their food out before me -- one of them also got the nicoise salad ? so it was not like that dish took longer to prepare.

By this time there were perhaps another 10 guests who have joined, but also there was one more server at the bar, and two more servers around. But it still seemed she was the only one working hard, i.e., hustling.

Anyway, another 10 minutes went by, 2:45pm, which was 30 minutes after I had placed my order, the food came out. This was not satisfactory, but I wasn't in a hurry, so I did not feel too frustrated.

When I finished, I realized the guest next to me has been waiting a while to get the check. And we laughed together at how this place appeared to be poorly run at that time. I told her I had placed and prepaid for my order using the website, she said that was smart. Well, it was just luck, but in hindsight that was the better route.

Edit: Reading past reviews, it seems "lone bartender" is not a one off situation, and "guy walking at snails pace" isn't either. ? Props to the woman I mentioned above who was the only one trying to hustle and do a good job. My 2 ⭐ rating for service is mostly an opinion on management.

* Out of their only draft beer
* Out of the next beer I wanted
* Out of glasses to pour any beer they do have into
* Bartender forgot my order
* Currently multiple people around me begging repeatedly to get their checks so they can go to their gates, growing less patient as they continue to wait

But everything else in the terminal is closed right now, so what can you do?

The food is stuff you can buy off the shelf (well, the stuff that wasn't sold out) and they close your tab after only 30 minutes from ordering with an unearned 20% gratuity. Drinks were good, but came 15 minutes after ordering. Food came a bit later. Only good thing was when we flagged someone down they brought water promptly. If they had a more reasonable tab policy, this wouldn't be a 1 star review. I mean, it wouldn't be 4 or 5 either, but that really is a bad policy.

I would only order drinks here. Bread bowl with olives, seriously pieces of baguette around a mound of olives. That was the whole overpriced dish. The scan code on the table and the app resulted in our being charged twice on credit card for the meal. That's a big fail. The solo bartender, server, and hostess was amazingly efficient, so hat's off to her, but the payment process and ordering didn't work well.

SCAM. Outrageous $30 for a microwaved chicken sandwich which was smaller than a Big Mac and tasted twice as bad. Worst food I’ve ever had in an airport
