My FAVE spot in da hood for dat good ol soul food... hopped off the 113 bus after work to get me a fried shrimp/mac/broccoli dinner and they're not there anymore! SMH, lights out wit the space for rent posters in the windows yo. Y??? I'ma miss them, word....

Ordered my regular the other day, and a shrimp dinner for my wife. After Waiting 1 1/2 hours grub hub sent a notification that my orders were cancelled. I immediately contact the restaurant, and there's no delivery person available. So were extremely hungry, I drive over, steaming mad after waiting so long. The Young lady behind the counter understood my frustration and made my food immediately, even though there were people waiting. Food was hot and fresh. SMH, May not order from them for a while.. My wife and I was riding by a week ago, and while at the Red light, we witnessed one of the chefs come out the restaurant with no shirt on under his apron. His hairy bare skin underneath his apron. Definitely a NoNo working in a restaurant. And he was emptying a big pot of food into The dumpster. Wonder what that was. Don't think we'll be eating there any more.

My First time, Amazing!!!! Fish dinner with Mac n Cheese, string beans. Delicious I have leftovers for tomorrow. It' s Memorial Day weekend, I stopped by after Church sure could use a dessert....they had none for m w to buy. Next time I will be back!!!! New spot instead of truckin to Rockaway Fish house.

Not on time very unprofessional. Made an order for 1pm got there at 2:30pm and order still not ready. They started frying my food when I got there even though I gave a deposit when placing my order. Didnt rectify the issue and refuse to let us speak to a sup. Never buying here again. If you dont want to waste your time dont come here.

Best authentic southern soul food in the area! Friendly service and food is always hot, well-seasoned and fresh. Take it from my husband and I, both of our families are from the south so we are very picky about our soul food. This spot is on point!

I never write reviews “PLESE BELIEVE THE POOR REVIEWS FOR THIS RESTAURANT†I ordered at 6:00pm online for delivery on May 4th . It said it should be delivered between 7:00-7:45pm okay I understand that I call 7:30 to see what's going on since I'm only a 10 minute drive away from the restaurant and the lady says “Your food is ready but it's going to be another hour so not I'm not getting my food till 8:30 . I ask the lady WHO WANTS COLD FOOD†And she has a very NASTY ATTITUDE. So at 7:40pm I cancel the order and order Popeyes â€â™€ï¸. I'm already in bed by 9pm because you know I'm tired or what ever why do I wake up this morning to text messages from 10:15 pm talking about the is Magic Sould Food we are outside with your delivery. Y'all really need to do better if business is “BOOMING†how y'all make it seem “HIRE ANOTHER DELIVERY DRIVER†Please do better 👌 â€¼ï¸ Ps. I wish there was a way to give no stars

Ok i will say i was very nervous going here based on the ratings this place has. But to my surprise. The food was really good!! I ordered turkey wings with macaroni & cheese and collared greens. Everything was cooked to perfection. The wait was about 20 mins, Not bad. But the only thing I would change is the greens. They were made sweet. Im use to spicy greens. Nothing hot sauce couldn't fix. So thats just a little heads up if you like a particular type of greens. Other than that I would definitely go back and try something else. Enjoy!!!!

Nice round the way soul food spot. Fried chicken was good, as was the turkey and fish. Mac and cheese was ok. Enjoyed the collards and green beans too. Staff is super friendly but have no idea how the points system(on your receipt) works. Best to call ahead and then go 15 mins later. Everything is fresh though. Don't buy soda or fountain drinks (overpriced)

Magic soul food is such a great place to get a awesome plate of food. Today hubby and i came for the lunch special. He ordered catfish, black eyed peas amd cabbage. Everything on his plate was delicious. The catfish was my absolute favorite. It wasn't over battered, nice light taste. The catfish was able to shine. As for me, I chose whiting, yams, and collard greens. Very happy with my choice. Fish was in abundance, perfect yams the greens were yummy but a little salty. Coming back soon....

This is an ok spot they don't really scream soul food to me I have had soul food that is really good.... Magic soul food has a different taste the mac n cheese is ok. It taste like theres too much bread crumbs. The fried chicken is good my only issue was they had left a few feathers on it. There cabbage needs more flavor it really taste like nothing.
