An old fashioned Italian bakery in the heart of Howard Beach. La Totre has it all. Family atmosphere and all the classics and then some. I've tried cakes, pastries cookies,and bread, all have been delicious. Very reasonable prices. Stop by, you'll be glad you did.

I placed an order for a 9 inch red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream for my girlfriend’s birthday and this is what I received. The cake looked how I wanted it aside from the writing. It looks rushed and I asked for gold frosting on top not yellow. When it came to trying the cake, it was terrible. It tasted like plain yellow cake, and not even good yellow cake. It was very dry, and they put a mountain of frosting (which tasted like store bought vanilla icing) in between the layers. From what I thought, buttercream should be a little softer that this frosting that they put. I’m highly disappointed with this cake. $40 for frosting with a side of cake is ridiculous. Wouldn’t recommend.

Lovely gentleman the owner is and you could tell he took pride in his products. I ordered 1/2 lb Italian cookies, 10 sugar free, and a seeded Italian bread. Can't go wrong here. 😋

I just called and spoke with Candy.I inquired about a cake which shop was out of today (VALENTINE DAY) which is totally understable. But I proceed to ask ito order one for the next availability. Candy then rudely turned into a robot replying sorry we dont have any mousse right now {x5.}refusing to even listen to another word of my mout! As a returning customer that absolutely love the cakes,this serivce this is in no way satisfactory. - Signed customer service lead.

I asked for a butter roll and I got a block of butter in my roll it wasn’t even speared my small hot chocolate was hot milk had no chocolate in it and a large coffee was ok
It wasn’t worth my 9 dollars
