Bright Sunday morning, ordered dhal filled with lump and extremely cold inside. Bigan choke tasted spoiled. The pumpkin was ok and the same curry was trash. Please do better, this is crazy

If you're looking for fresh bread, Guyanese pastries, or food — this is NOT the place.
I’ve given this bakery three chances, and every single time, the items have been stale, hard, and taste like they’ve been sitting there for weeks. I understand there’s a lot of competition among Guyanese bakeries on Liberty, so maybe their products don’t sell as quickly — but that’s no excuse to keep old items and continue selling them.

I’ve never had a butter flap, black eye, or cheese roll taste so terribly bad.
If the owner reads Google reviews, I truly hope you make some adjustments. Selling leftover or stale food just to keep the business running is not the way to go. Customers notice that Liberty has other bakeries to try out.

I ordered bake n salt fish, but when I open the bake they barely put salt fish in the bake. I wanted to take a picture and attach it to the review but it will definitely make them look extra bad. I will give them a second chance to redeem themselves.

Food is okay, nothing to rave about. Service is terrible. Cashier is always rude. They act like you’re bothering them when you go in there to buy something. No customer service skills at all. Went in there the other day to buy something and when the cashier gave me my change she threw it on the counter & walked away. Do better.

I really wanted to give Shivram’s Bakery in Richmond Hill a fair chance. I’ve ordered from them several times on Uber Eats, and at first, I was impressed—especially with their baigan choka, which was flavorful and well-prepared. But unfortunately, my overall experience hasn’t lived up to expectations.

One of the major issues is the freshness of their food. Their oil roti, for instance, didn’t taste fresh—it felt like it had been sitting for a while. While their initial pricing was reasonable and affordable, I’ve noticed a sharp increase in prices on Uber Eats recently, which feels like price gouging. For example, an egg ball that used to be $2.50 or $3 is now listed at $4. Their fish cakes, once $1.25, are now $2 each—smaller in size compared to places like Bakewell or Sybils where the portions are larger and prices are better.

Another frustration is that you can’t order baigan choka by itself—you’re forced to order it with roti. It’s disappointing because I genuinely wanted to support a newer business rather than sticking with the more established spots like Singh’s, Brown Betty, Bakewell, or Sybil’s. Singhs has a delicious Baigan Choke for 6.50 and with roti is $9.00.

But with the rapid price increases and lack of flexibility in ordering, it’s hard to justify continuing to order from Shivram’s. Especially when other local favorites offer better value—for example, Bakewell has a large chicken curry with two dall puris for $11, which beats Shivram’s offerings both in quality and price.

Shivram’s had potential, but they’re quickly losing me as a customer. If they want to stay competitive and build loyalty, they need to reconsider their pricing strategy and focus more on consistency and freshness.

I recently purchased duck, chicken and gilbaka curry. It looks like it was cut with an ax because the chunks were so big. The duck curry had the entire neck with the skin on it. Please be more considerate and serve your dishes with pride.

I an not aware of this restaurant but I bought there bread, tennis rolls and the women in the store said the other thing was butter flop and a few different pastries but it was not to my expectations first the butter flop had food coloring of yellow the woman told me it’s butter but i would understand if you bake something with butter, the butter will melt it was the most tasteless bread with food coloring that is not good for consumption and the pastries that called cheese roll is made out of mustard not cheese ( it was white flour and mustard and the other was all flour no fill in of fruits and the red ones had no coconut only red food coloring
Please don’t do this to people who are supporting your business please include what is mentioned on the packaging I don’t understand how people could eat those things and be healthy only God can help them
