The food was fine but it was like 5x the price it should have been.

Excellent Excellent Excellent,
The only thing we wished they had was a bathroom close enough to the restroom for the disabled.

Had fried Calamari of rings and tentacles served with mini spicy red pepper rings and tangy fry sauce. Average for typical servers. Followed with rigatoni and meatballs. The red sauce was red sauce with very little help from seasoning. The pasta cooked appropriately. Then it was topped with an overwhelming amount of shaved cheese of an unknown variety that did not enhance the dish but, dragged it to near disgusting. We are still wondering what type meat was in the meatballs as they were very finely ground possible of turkey with also little seasoning that became dominated by the cheese. Waitress Service was slow. Bottom line not recommended, not French, and the worst eating experience in NYC and that included Taco Bell in Times Square.

Ordered to go; shaved broccoli and lake salad with steak. Steak cooked perfectly medium. Salad was perfect size and fill of flavor. Atmosphere looks fun but I didn’t eat there. Staff was incredibly friendly and accurate on time. Will visit again!

Ordered the $33 steak and eggs. They asked me the temp, I said medium rare. The steak was thin as some card stock paper. Looked boiled. Grey. Chewy. What’s the point in asking how I’d like it done? Potatoes were good though.

French restaurant? Pizza, burger, risotto? I didn't see anything French on the menu. Asked if the truffle pizza had fresh truffle - was told yes of course. And no it didn't - just a relatively benign truffle flavoured spread and oil. The tuna tartare was quite subpar - tuna was very mashed and low quality, avocado must have been mashed in a factory. Service was slow. Ambiance was overlooking hotel lobby - noisy. $90 for starter, small pizza and one drink. Bad value even for NY.

Had a wonderful lunch at the Paris Cafe in the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport. Our server, Jewel was a gem! Attentive and friendly as well as all the other wait staff. Food is fresh and arrived hot to the table. Definitely recommend if you have a long layover here.

As a former chef in luxury hotels I have to say this was the worst experience I’ve had at a Jean-George restaurant and one of the worst experiences I’ve had at any hotel in the last 20 years. It was pathetic. The rigatoni and meatballs was a medium portion of rigatoni, tomato sauce devoid of any garlic, onions, or herbs, and five tiny, horribly overcooked meatballs whose source material was completely unidentifiable. The service issues were too many to list here. I expected better from JGV. 😢

Truly exceeded my expectations. Everything was delicious; I'm surprised to see so many negative experiences. Also, the fish and chips is both great and quite a lot (like 3 fillets worth of fish, pic is of the calamari though).

Tried their burger. It was okay, and the sun shining through the glass made it really hot inside. Not the most comfortable spot to eat, and the food didn’t make up for it

We visited in May 2025. I would recommend this place. We had a long layover. A local told us about this place. We walked over here with all our luggage in tow. The restaurant is inside the TWA hotel. The hotel is cool in a retro way. We were able to store our luggage under the counter. There was no wait for a table. The wait staff was super friendly. The food was really good. The pizza and salmon sushi were my favorite. Even the salad was excellent. We spent a few hours eating and drinking. Watched a wedding take place in the lobby. It was a fun experience versus sitting in the terminal. There is also a plane in the back of the hotel that they turned into a bar.
