Whenever I come to New York from Toronto, Tropical Isle is my very first stop. The food is absolutely incredible. Every dish reminds me of my grandmother’s cooking, full of comfort and love. I’m always excited to come here, especially for the cook-up rice. The pastries are unreal. Secret tip: ask if any fresh ones are just coming out of the oven when you arrive.

The owner, Danny, is a true gem. He always goes above and beyond to make sure the quality is perfect every single time.

If you’re craving real home-style flavor, just like mom or grandma used to make, this is the spot. Highly recommend for anyone looking for the authentic taste of Guyana.

Listen to me! This place is authentic Guyanese food. I took a gamble because of the way the dishes were named I thought “ok, this is very Guyanese” and I was not wrong! I ordered dhall, Oil Roti/Buss up Shut and curry, and the pumpkin and extra roti. I had given up on these Guyanese restaurants that are so mainstream but can’t cook. This place! I feel
Like is me aunty food I just eat! And no idk them I found them on DoorDash. Buy their food now!

A true taste of home, when I need a pick me up and little reminder of a lifetime ago I order from Tropical Isle. I do cook but it’s not the same, they nail the flavors, everything is mouth waveringly delicious. Love their dal, curries and stews and yes the fried rice too!

I ordered the seven curry & sweets box special for Diwali and everything was packed and shipped efficiently . The food was delicious and tasted as if it was freshly made although it was frozen. Highly recommend purchasing from them especially if you live in Florida where we’re limited on the selection of Indo-Caribbean food.

I made a large order on a weekend where Tropical Isle offered free shipping as a promo. It was my first time ordering from them. It was a variety of different foods. I can tell you that my order was about $100 or a little more. Everything in that food box was well worth my time in placing this order. The food was excellent. I would definitely recommend buying to ship to locations where these types of dishes are hard to come by. Truly authentic. Will be a repeat customer. Keep the promos going. Lol

Our family absolutely loved everything we tried! We ordered the Diwali bundle with sweets the item was received in south Florida with the ice pack still cold/ frozen. Even the packaging and shipping were handled with so much attention to detail.
