Vibes has a takeout side and a sit-down restaurant option. The takeout is an iconic soulfood staple in Jamaica. Its been there for years and local Cityworkers all know how good the food is here. Turkey wings, short ribs or the catfish nuggets are my favorite choices along with the mac & cheese and collard greens. The cooks know what they're doing. Just to clarify, there's no pork prepared here, trust though you don't miss it.

I had the fish and grits and salmon cakes for brunch. It was really tasty. I also enjoyed the bottomless Mimosa. The staff was friendly and played the good tunes . I even have a shot train which added some “turn up” to the day.
Vegetarian options: They serve veggies and they’re pretty tasty.

Vibes Restaurant by the Van Wyck left me thoroughly disappointed, and unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the expectations set by the price point. The meal started on a low note with the rice, which was extremely dry and unappetizing. It lacked the moisture and flavor that you would expect from a well-prepared dish, making each bite a chore rather than a delight. It felt as though the rice had either been sitting out for too long or simply wasn’t cooked properly. Given that rice is a staple in many dishes, this was a major letdown.
The sauce, which could have potentially salvaged the meal, was another point of disappointment. There was so little of it that it barely made an impact on the overall flavor of the dish. When you have dry rice and dry chicken, a good sauce can be the saving grace, but in this case, it was almost nonexistent. This lack of sauce left the dish feeling incomplete and underwhelming.
The chicken, unfortunately, continued the trend of disappointment. It was dry and overcooked, lacking any of the juiciness or tenderness that makes for a satisfying bite. Instead of being a flavorful and enjoyable part of the meal, the chicken was tough and bland. Good chicken should be a highlight, but here, it was just another missed opportunity.
Adding insult to injury was the price. At $20, the meal was significantly overpriced for what was delivered. For that kind of money, you expect a meal that is both satisfying and flavorful, with portions that reflect the cost. Unfortunately, this meal fell far short of those expectations. I couldn’t help but feel that I was paying a premium for something that simply wasn’t worth it.
The only bright spot in the entire experience was the mac and cheese, which was actually quite good. It was creamy, well-seasoned, and had the rich, comforting flavor you expect from a well-made mac and cheese. However, even this couldn’t redeem the overall meal, as the rest of the dish was so disappointing.
In a city where you can find great food at reasonable prices, Vibes Restaurant failed to deliver on both quality and value. Spending $20 on a meal that includes dry rice, dry chicken, and too little sauce felt like a waste of money. There are plenty of other options out there that offer better food at a more reasonable price. Sadly, Vibes didn’t deliver, leaving me not only disappointed but also feeling that I had overpaid for a subpar experience.

Greetings, my food was good. I ordered the turkey wings mac & sweet potatoes. My son ordered the Burger quesadilla, and he said it was oily & salty. When making my order, I asked if they had any lemonade, I was told no, so I paid for my order and waited. This is where it gets sus. While eating there at the table 5 minutes in a woman walked in and I heard her order a lemonade and the person asked what flavor? Also, my son wanted something to drink, and I gave him my card that I used to purchase our food the man behind the counter said they don't take cards after 7:30pm?What? How would customers know that I asked is that a policy? He said yes.

The food is good but they often don’t have what you’re looking for that’s on their own menu.
I love Vibes food and restaurant. They renovated. The place very nice. Order was wrong I ordered Sautéed lobster I got grilled lobster. It was decent but not what I ordered . They do have unlimited mimosas flavors, traditional, pineapple, and cranberry I requested all three but only got two, traditional and pineapple I never got the cranberry. But the mimosas are good you will need a designated driver - smh. Ohh I just looked at the bill and they charge me for something that they did not have and I cancelled. SMH this is the 2nd place that I have been two in the last days with generation they are JUST not attentive and focus in the customer service industry. HELP US LORD!!! Help us!!! (People between the ages of 20 and 30 are generally considered to be part of Generation Y, also known as Millennials, which is defined as people born between 1981 and 1996).I would try it again.
